THE FINAL WAR BEGINS
The battlefield was pure chaos.
Ranked saviors unleashed their most powerful spells, their magic tearing through the air, while melee saviors engaged in brutal close combat against the incoming wave of demons. The ground trembled beneath them, stained with the ashes of their fallen foes.
Above them, Marcus floated, his hands glowing with charged energy, ready to unleash devastation.
Among the chaos, Yaxoc tore through the battlefield with blinding speed, his Angelic Flashes cutting through demons like a storm of light. He teleported across the warzone, obliterating everything in his path.
Suddenly, he skidded to a stop and called out:
"Marcus! Give me a hand!"
Marcus, dodging an incoming strike, nodded. "On it!"
He raised his hand to the sky, his voice booming across the battlefield.
"Cloud Magic: ThunderRains!"
The air grew heavy as massive storm clouds began to form above them, swirling with violent energy. Crackles of lightning surged through the sky, illuminating the battlefield with an eerie glow.
Yaxoc smirked and jumped straight onto one of the forming clouds, his feet sinking into its unstable surface. He placed his palm against it, channeling his Angelic Flash into the thunderwaves.
Marcus furrowed his brows. "What are you doing, Yaxoc?"
"I'm fusing my flashes with your lightning!" Yaxoc grinned. "That way, any demon hit by a thunderstrike will be forced into a specific location—right where Yaxocara is waiting to finish them off."
Marcus' eyes widened in realization. "That's… actually smart. Did you plan this?"
"Yeah, I made a deal with her earlier. Now, let's see it in action!"
The clouds swelled in size, the sky darkening even further. Then, in a massive explosion of light, enormous thunderbolts rained down, striking the battlefield with divine force.
Demons caught in the storm of divine lightning were either vaporized instantly or forced to retreat—right into Yaxocara's trap.
The moment they entered her range, Yaxocara's sword flashed, her movements precise and deadly. She dashed into the horde, slicing through the disoriented demons in a single, fluid motion.
Nearby, Moonlight and Luna tore through their enemies with their claws, their agility making them untouchable.
MEANWHILE – THE DEMON GENERALS GATHER
Zarzock walked onto the battlefield, his crimson eyes scanning the chaos. His gaze eventually landed on Lucius, Ogamak, and Yurgion, who stood at the center of the demonic army, watching the war unfold like spectators.
"Hey," Zarzock called out.
Lucius turned, his golden pupils narrowing.
"Oh, hello there," he said, smirking. "I assume you failed the deal, huh?"
Zarzock's expression remained neutral. "I wouldn't say that."
Lucius chuckled. "Don't worry, we're not here to get rid of you—yet. In fact, I think you'll be a valuable asset to this war."
Zarzock smirked. "That's right..."
Ogamak, standing beside Lucius, gave Zarzock a sharp glare.
"I command you to get rid of those two catgirls," he ordered, pointing toward Luna and Moonlight, who were still engaged in combat.
Lucius sighed. "That's a terrible idea."
Ogamak frowned. "Why?"
Lucius crossed his arms. "If you touch them, you'll trigger Yaxoc and Marcus's rage. You really want to deal with that right now?"
Ogamak growled. "Then we take out the ranked saviors first."
"That's an even worse idea," Lucius muttered. "If you start wiping out high-rank saviors, you'll provoke Hannah… and if you do that, you'll piss off 'the strongest savior alive.'"
Ogamak smirked. "You mean that savior?"
He reached behind his back and pulled out a severed head—the head of the strongest ranked savior.
Lucius' expression shifted.
"...So you already handled him."
Ogamak chuckled. "I did."
Yurgion grinned. "Smart."
Zarzock cracked his knuckles. "Still, I'd rather go after the catgirls first. They'll make for good entertainment."
Lucius shrugged. "Your choice. Just don't die too fast."
With that, Zarzock vanished into the battlefield.
THE FINAL STAND
Above the battlefield, the massive storm cloud continued to grow. Every demon caught inside was instantly obliterated, but as the storm raged on, Type-4 demons began to emerge.
Their bodies were larger, faster, and covered in abyssal armor, their power surpassing anything the saviors had faced so far.
Yaxoc grinned as he landed on the battlefield, his aura crackling with divine energy.
"Ready?" he asked, stepping forward.
Marcus landed beside him, rolling his shoulders.
"Always."
The two charged forward.
Yaxoc flashed through the battlefield, exchanging blinding-fast blows with the first wave of Type-4 demons. With one swift motion, he unleashed an Angelic Flash, sending out a shockwave of holy energy.
Five demons were obliterated instantly.
Marcus, however, struggled against his opponent. The Type-4 demon he fought was faster than expected, landing brutal counterattacks.
"Ugh—this one's strong!" Marcus growled, staggering back.
He jumped away just in time to avoid a fatal blow.
"Yaxoc! I need backup!" Marcus shouted.
In an instant, Yaxoc appeared beside him.
"I gotcha," he said, grinning.
With a single charged punch, Yaxoc pierced through the demon's chest, causing it to explode in a burst of divine light.
Marcus exhaled. "Damn, you really don't hold back."
"Nope," Yaxoc smirked. "Come on—we've got more to handle."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Luna had just finished slashing through a group of demons when she suddenly felt a presence above her.
She looked up—
Zarzock was standing on a nearby rooftop, watching her.
"You'll be my first victim, catgirl," Zarzock said, his voice laced with amusement.
Luna's instincts screamed danger. Without hesitation, she turned and ran.
Zarzock chuckled. "Still running away in fear, huh?" He stretched his arms, his fingers crackling with energy.
"How boring," he sighed. "Still… I suppose I'll play with her a little longer."
And with that, he vanished into the shadows.
