Chapter 21 - Clash of the strongest

Davi pondered what to do as Ember's father suddenly appeared. Naturally, he gave space for the woman to take the lead. She had the right to decide how to handle the situation.

However, upon realizing that a confrontation was inevitable, he stepped forward. Initially, his goal was to calm the situation. But Davi had always been a hot-headed person.

As he looked into the arrogant eyes of the man, he couldn't resist the urge to confront him.

The red-haired man, on the other hand, did not take kindly to being confronted in such a manner.

Soon, everyone around felt the air grow hotter as the man became enraged. Some patients even felt sick due to the intense heat.

Davi, who was still weak, was no exception. But he did his best to hide it.

"I don't know what dirty methods you used to eliminate my son, but your class is [Digger], so you're a failure," the man spat.

Davi was left speechless for a moment.

That man had chosen to completely ignore reality. To him, class defined a person's success. And even after witnessing the absolute opposite, he didn't consider that at all.

Regardless, Davi didn't have the chance to point out how stupid that argument was. He began to feel more and more nauseous, as the intense heat made him bend over.

Then, wanting to assert his dominance, the man projected his mana, forcing Davi to bend further.

It was ironic that a man who preached coldness and always wore a stoic expression on his face would get so easily irritated. But the man had never been what he pretended to be.

"Anyway, why are you here? And what is your relationship with my daughter?" he asked irritably.

Davi wanted to respond by saying she was his girlfriend or something along those lines, but he simply felt his body grow weaker.

"That's enough, Dad!" At that moment, another force intervened, easing some of the pressure on Davi.

The mana from the two mages collided in the air, creating a sharp sound that reverberated throughout the area. Naturally, Ember was quickly overwhelmed, she had no chance against her father.

Still, she managed to summon enough strength to at least speak. With an angry look on her face, she shouted, "He's my man, and I love him, so I won't allow you to hurt him!"

The red-haired man grew even angrier and stepped forward, increasing the pressure. But in an instant, all that pressure disappeared.

"What do you think you're doing, trying to attack students, Griff?"

Amélia revealed an irritated smile as she released her own mana as a form of threat. She would no longer tolerate the actions of that arrogant man.

"What are you doing here?" Griff asked angrily.

"My job is to protect the students and ensure the integrity of the test," Amélia immediately appeared before him. Her gaze was colder than ever, and her tone carried an underlying threat.

"I kindly ask that you leave. Or I'll have to take more drastic measures."

"You'll regret this," the man cursed, but still retreated. He knew he couldn't win that confrontation.

No matter how strong this woman is, a person of impure blood should never hold such an important position. Griff thought as he left the area.

He muttered with a smile on his face, "Either way, she'll fall soon. It's time for this woman to learn what happens when you fly too close to the sun."

With the man gone, all eyes turned to Davi, whose fragile body had not reacted well to the pressure he'd been under.

Worried, Ember quickly approached, asking how he was feeling. Meanwhile, the nurses who had seen the scene started whispering to each other. The story of the young man with nothing, struggling to take the princess with him, was very romantic. Especially when this young man confronted the princess's father in such a way.

That said, the redhead's declaration also made most of them give up on the guy. They had no chance against such a beautiful woman, and they had the decency not to go after a man already committed.

However, "most" doesn't mean all. In particular, two attractive girls decided to approach. As good professionals, they quickly offered to help Davi, who clearly needed treatment.

One of them, being quite bold, offered to watch over him overnight and assist him with any of his needs.

Ember wasn't stupid and quickly noticed the women's intentions. Wanting to defend her position, she growled at the girls, like an annoyed cat.

Amelia found the scene genuinely amusing. "The youth today is so shameless," she murmured to herself with a relaxed smile.

And shortly after, a fourth person joined the chaos. Ana, who had heard the commotion, approached the scene.

She had carefully styled her blonde-dyed hair to highlight her best features. She wore a short pair of shorts and a shirt with a low neckline, giving a full view of her ample breasts.

She approached Ember, greeting her kindly. Then, she turned to Davi, making sure to greet him in the most seductive way possible.

Then she proposed, "You don't need to worry, I can also use healing abilities. I think we can head back to the room, and if you feel any discomfort, please let me know. Come on, I'll help you walk."

Ana acted quickly, wrapping her breasts around the boy's left arm and helping him get up. She wanted to take him to the dorm, where he would only have one woman to worry about.

Ember, seeing all of that, felt the urge to go after that bitch, but she restrained her jealousy.

As for Davi, he was lost in thought. Normally, he would have just politely rejected the other girls and asked Ember for help walking. After all, she was the only one there that he loved.

However, having access to support skills could be incredibly useful. Not wanting to pass up this opportunity, he began to wonder which of the three annoying girls had the best abilities.

That being said, he felt that at least the nurses had some romantic interest in him, while Ana seemed to just want to manipulate him. So, he decided he would go after her.

After all, it wasn't in his nature to break girls' hearts.

"You don't need to worry, I'm feeling better," he said politely, trying to send the nurses away. And when they insisted, he spoke more firmly, "I really want to go to my room, can you please excuse me?"

Before he could take a step forward, he noticed that his bed was right in front of him. Ember and Ana were beside him.

Obviously, the principal had transported him, perhaps as a courtesy before leaving. Either way, he wasn't going to complain.

"Do you mind if I take a shower first?" Ember said.

She had hundreds of emotions rushing through her body and needed some time to rest. Moreover, she also wanted to avoid starting an unnecessary fight with her teammate, so she wanted to relax a bit.

"Of course, the day must have been very tiring, you can go ahead," Ana said with a false empathy, which made the redhead hate her just a little less.

The fake blonde, in turn, couldn't be happier. After all, she would have some time alone with Davi.

And as soon as Ember left the room, she turned to her target with a seductive smile.
