Chapter 5 - Rank S

Davi barely understood what was happening as a blinding light enveloped him. When he could see again, he found himself in a spacious room filled with so many bookshelves and safes, that the room ended up seeming small.

Sunlight poured through a massive window on the back wall, flooding the room with a warm glow. In stark contrast to the room's otherwise timeless, classic aesthetic, a sleek, modern office chair sat behind the desk positioned before the window.

On the massive wooden desk sat a computer, two monitors, several coffee cups, two discarded books, and a chaotic pile of documents and papers. For a brief moment, Davi even spotted a fashion magazine on the desk. However, all the clutter vanished with a snap of fingers.

Thinking he might have imagined it, the boy now saw a pristine, elegant room before him. The space was adorned with beautiful paintings on the walls. At the center of the room was the grand, glamorous window, and a short distance away, a large wooden desk and a chair that resembled a throne.

On the desk, there was only his enrollment form and a beautifully bound book that appeared to be some kind of special grimoire. Likely a powerful magical item acquired by an explorer.

And then, as if out of nowhere, the principal appeared seated in what could only be described as her throne.

Her serene gaze held its usual weight, and, up close, she looked even more stunning. Her long, shiny black hair framed her face with a softness that contrasted with her commanding aura, cascading over her shoulders and following the natural contours of her body.

She was no longer wearing the formal suit from earlier. Instead, she donned a dark gray turtleneck sweater that accentuated her ample chest and flawless figure. It was impossible not to feel mesmerized by her presence.

"Your power is peculiar," she murmured to herself, her voice barely audible. "I imagine you must have some special title or another ability that allows you to have a second class, correct?"

"Y-yes," Davi stammered, unsure if he should keep it a secret or tell the truth.

Yet, under the weight of her inquisitive gaze, he instinctively choose honesty. It was a wise decision because, had he chosen to lie, his head might no longer be attached to his body.

"I see. What does your second class allow you to do? What's its name? Considering your magical energy, it must be something far more powerful than a mere digger," she said, her sharp eyes scanning the details on Davi's enrollment form.

"To be honest, I don't know yet. I need to meet certain special requirements to figure out what my class can do," he admitted, hesitant to share too much about it. He wasn't sure if he could trust the principal just yet.

"I understand. Don't worry, you don't have to tell me much," she said, leaning back in her chair. "My only concern is your ability to help protect humanity. That's why you must discover your class's full potential as soon as possible. If you can do that, I might even help you level up quickly and make up for all the time you've lost."

Davi started to feel a glimmer of hope, thinking his future was looking bright and that he had struck gold with this opportunity. But her next words shattered his fantasy in an instant.

"You will take the test for the rank S in three days. There's no need to worry about the other exams."

"But if I don't at least take the basic survival test, I won't be able to enroll here," he protested.

"That's not an issue. If you pass the rank S test, those details won't matter."

"And if I don't pass?"

"Then you have no value," she replied, her tone cold and unrelenting. "In your enrollment interview, you said your dream was to become a great explorer. If that's truly what you want, then you must get into the rank S."

"But my class has specific requirements. I need more time to unlock its abilities. I don't even have magical exploration gear yet. Can't you give me more time? I promise I have the determination to succeed, I just need a chance," he pleaded.

"Yes, and it's exactly one chance that I'm giving you," she said, her voice firm and commanding.

Davi fell silent, feeling the weight of her words. The power in her tone left no room for argument.

It might seem cold, but that wasn't the first, nor would it be the last time she had seen someone with a second class. She had learned through experience that those who were destined to be powerful managed to overcome even impossible challenges. The rest rarely succeeded.

The pressure and challenges destroyed the weak and brought forth true heroes. Of course, it was a brutal method and perhaps inefficient, many talents had been lost due to this. But undeniably, it had led to great results.

"Understand, I don't care about your determination or struggles. Just prove your worth to humanity, if you have any," she said, stepping forward.

The sudden movement caused her ample chest to sway, drawing the boy's gaze almost unconsciously.

"Oh, of course, you're just a young man, after all," she murmured to herself.

A slightly mischievous smile spread across her beautiful face, clearly enjoying the attention she was receiving despite her age.

"You're kind of cute. So, if you prove your worth, maybe I'll give you that, too."

"Wait, I..." Davi tried to explain, caught off guard by the unexpected shift in the conversation and wanting to clear up any misunderstanding.

The principal chuckled softly, which relaxed the boy's nerves. Luckily, she hadn't gotten angry. In fact, it seemed she was enjoying herself.

"I know, a woman like me, past my prime, shouldn't still attract the gaze of a young man, right?" she teased, her provocative tone meant to savor his reactions.

Realizing she was just playing around, Davi relaxed. It would have been disastrous to anger someone like her.

Surprisingly, she was much friendlier than he had expected, despite her imposing gaze. Noticing this, he decided to tease a little bit too.

"Don't worry, I definitely desire you. You continue to be the most beautiful flower that exists, I would be honored just to accompany you on a date. And, madam, if I may be so bold, I must say this suit really highlights your figure, and your red lipstick gives you a special touch."

The principal seemed to like the flirtation, smiling slightly and even becoming a little flushed. She was very careful with her clothing choices, so it was nice to hear compliments about that.

"But, to be honest, I prefer money," he admitted in the end. "And I've already given my heart to someone."

The principal laughed again, or rather, it would be better to say she chuckled. That student was definitely audacious, and she loved that. Being treated with absolute respect and reverence all the time became tiresome over time. Even more when half the people treating her with respect, were waiting for a chance to get her position.

"You're fun. If you don't die, I hope you come back to talk to me more. Now, you may go. One more thing, don't call me 'madam,' I'm Amélia."

"It's a beautiful name, I'm Davi, a pleasure."

With a snap of his fingers, Davi was teleported to what should have been the main hall. But perhaps due to a mistake, or maybe as a joke, the place he was sent to was different.

He felt a certain heat, like the steam from water surrounding him. Then his eyes understood the scene before him.

They were beautiful, but modest breasts of a girl who looked almost like a doll. She was completely naked as she combed her hair, exposing her body completely.

Her eyes were deep red, with a glow that seemed to belong to a jewel. Her body was small and slender, revealing skin so white and perfect it seemed like porcelain. Completing her otherworldly aura, she had beautiful silver hair that extended almost to the ground.

Despite the surprising situation, the girl showed little reaction, staring at Davi for a moment before asking:

"Why are you here?" She said this in a calm tone, as a sword materialized in her hand.

Before the boy could realize, his feet were trapped to the ground by chains that had materialized there. And in an instant, the blade of that woman was pointing directly at his neck.

"Are you an enemy?" She asked once again in a monotone voice.
