Synopsis
When Earth’s population is suddenly thrust into a chaotic fantasy world, survival becomes a daunting challenge. While many scramble to secure alliances or fend off monsters, Adam awakens a unique power—the NPC System. This system allows him to create and manage NPCs skilled in crafting, combat, trade, and more, forming a growing kingdom of loyal subordinates. Adam quickly rises as a force to reckon with, using his NPCs not only for protection but also to dominate trade channels and gather resources efficiently. As rival players and monstrous invaders target him, Adam’s kingdom becomes the foundation of a new power. He must fend off challenges from monstrous invasions, native factions, and rival transmigrators, all while aiming to build a lasting legacy in a world teetering on the edge of chaos.

Chapter 1: Awakening and the First Step

Adam blinked against the bright light. His pounding headache and the cool grass beneath him were the first sensations he registered. Sitting up, he squinted at the sprawling field around him. Hundreds of people, all in modern clothing, were sprawled across the landscape, some crying, others shouting for help.

"What the hell is going on?" Adam muttered, brushing dirt from his jeans.

Suddenly, a chime echoed in the air, crisp and melodic, followed by glowing text appearing in front of him.

SYSTEM INITIALIZING…

GLOBAL TRANSMIGRATION COMPLETE.

WELCOME, PLAYER ADAM.

The words hovered for a moment before fading, replaced by a detailed message.

WORLD INTRODUCTION:

YOU HAVE BEEN TRANSPORTED TO THE WORLD OF KAELITH, A REALM OF MAGIC, MONSTERS, AND UNTOLD DANGERS. TO SURVIVE AND THRIVE, YOU MUST BUILD, TRADE, AND FORM ALLIANCES.

SAFE ZONE ESTABLISHED:

A PERSONAL HUT HAS BEEN ASSIGNED TO YOU. THIS HUT IS YOUR INITIAL BASE AND IS LOCATED WITHIN A SAFE ZONE. NO MONSTERS CAN ENTER THIS ZONE FOR SEVEN DAYS.

MONSTER INVASION TIMER: 7 DAYS REMAINING.

OBJECTIVE:

SURVIVE AND GROW YOUR TERRITORY. WORK ALONE OR WITH OTHERS.

Adam's eyebrows rose as the text faded, replaced by an arrow floating in the air, pointing toward a patch of ground in the distance.

"That's… mine?" he asked aloud, though no one answered. Nearby, people stared at their own notifications, muttering in confusion or fear.

Adam stood and followed the arrow. Within moments, he reached a small wooden hut. It was plain but sturdy, with a stone foundation and a single door.

PLAYER HUT ASSIGNED.

THIS HUT CAN BE UPGRADED INTO A TERRITORY. SAFE ZONE ACTIVE: 10 METERS AROUND YOUR HUT IS PROTECTED FOR 7 DAYS.

The glowing text reassured him somewhat. "At least I'm not out in the open," Adam murmured, stepping closer to inspect the building. The door opened easily, revealing a basic interior: a cot, a wooden table, and a small storage chest.

The faint chime of a notification caught his attention again.

PLAYER STATUS

Name: Adam

HP: 100/100

MP: 50/50

Territory Level: Basic Hut

Global Power Rank: Unranked

PLAYER SYSTEM FEATURES ENABLED:

GLOBAL TRADE: Barter goods with other players. ALLIANCES: Form groups for mutual protection and resources. CHAT SYSTEM: Communicate with players locally or globally.

As Adam absorbed the information, movement outside caught his eye. People wandered aimlessly, some staring at their huts with apprehension.

"This is a game," Adam muttered. "Or something like it. But it's not just about playing—it's survival."

He stepped outside, scanning the horizon. The landscape was deceptively serene, with rolling hills, distant mountains, and the faint shimmer of sunlight on what might be a lake far to the east. But the ominous timer in his mind, counting down seven days, left no doubt that this peace was temporary.

"Safe for a week," he said, his eyes narrowing. "After that, it's war."

The notification system chimed again, this time flashing with a new prompt.

NEW QUEST:

UPGRADE YOUR HUT INTO A TERRITORY.

REWARD: EXPANDED SAFE ZONE AND RESOURCE GENERATION.

"Upgrade my hut? How am I supposed to do that?" Adam opened his interface, scrolling through the new options. A tab labeled "Territory Management" caught his eye.

UPGRADE OPTIONS:

Basic Hut → Small Territory Requirements: 100 Wood, 50 Stone, 10 Gold

Adam frowned. "So I need resources, and I'm guessing those aren't going to magically appear in my storage chest." He scanned the area again, noticing that the people nearby were beginning to move. Some entered their huts, while others wandered further into the wilds.

"I can't sit here doing nothing," Adam muttered.

He turned toward the nearest patch of forest, his hands tightening into fists. If this was a world of monsters, magic, and survival, he needed to start acting like it.

Global Communication

As Adam stepped into the forest, a new notification flashed.

GLOBAL CHAT ENABLED.

PLAYER 1: "What's going on? Does anyone know how to leave this place?"

PLAYER 2: "Don't leave your hut! The safe zone is the only thing protecting us!"

PLAYER 3: "I already found a stash of wood! Does anyone want to trade for food?"

Adam paused. Global chat was a double-edged sword. On one hand, it allowed players to share information. On the other, it revealed who was weak—and in a week, when the safe zones disappeared, weakness would make you a target.

Switching to local chat, he sent a brief message.

/T (Local): Anyone near the forest north of the lake? I'm looking to team up for resource gathering.

A response came almost immediately.

PLAYER 4: "I'm nearby. I saw something moving in the trees—might be dangerous."

Adam clenched his jaw. Danger was inevitable, but if he wanted to survive the week and beyond, he couldn't afford to hide. He typed back quickly.

/T (Local): Let's check it out. Safety in numbers. I'll meet you near the lake's edge.

As Adam walked, his interface kept him updated with the time remaining until the first monster wave. The faint rustle of leaves and the occasional chirp of a bird were the only sounds in the forest, but he couldn't shake the feeling of being watched.

He glanced back at the small hut in the distance, its safe zone shimmering faintly in the sunlight. Seven days wasn't long, but it was enough time to prepare—if he played his cards right.

For now, survival was the goal. Soon, it would be dominance.
