"-And that's why I needed to know if she was Katherine or not. But she isn't. She's... Kind, gentle, beautiful, everything Katherine is not." Stefan explained, though the last part did cause him to receive some of Samael's ire, as the pressure around him increased for a moment.
Samael hearing Stefan's story confirmed that it was practically the same as the show. Some details he's unable to confirm for they weren't shown in the show or books, for of course, to him now this is reality and Stefan is capable of explaining his own life in a more vast amount of detail than either two ever could.
"Look, as I said, I have no ill intentions towards either you or her. I have already came for what I wish to know, if you want me out of town, I'll go soon enough. I just need to take care of something." Stefan stated.
"By something... Do you mean, your foolish older brother, Damon Salvatore?" Samael questioned rhetorically with complete nonchalance.
"How do you know that?" Stefan questioned confused. Nothing he said eluded to Damon being in Mystic Falls, he himself only found out yesterday.
"Come on Stefan, I'm not stupid. Besides, all this, I already knew. I just needed... Confirmation, I suppose is what you could call it."
"Confirmation of what?" Stefan questioned, now far more wary than before. Preparing himself to strike at any moment if need be.
"Whether you could be, trustworthy." Samael answered.
"What?" Stefan questioned confused.
"Tell me Stefan, do you believe in gravity?"
This was the same question Dio Brando, asked Encrico Pucci in his quest to obtain the final piece needed for Heaven. A piece currently missing from Samael's Heaven that Dio did obtain.
A trustworthy friend.
In Dio's Heaven, the person must be one capable of controlling their selfish desires, and the absolute peak of that would be having no interest in fame, wealth, sex or power.
Someone who chooses God's law over human laws.
Samael doesn't believe he has the time to find such a friend.
For that reason his friend must be someone different.
It must be a sinner. A sinner who has dabbled in the greatest of sins and the Ripper of Monterey fits the conditions quite nicely.
But being a sinner is but the basic requirement, the most important one, is that it must be one seeking redemption. Atonement. Absolution.
A person who chooses their own morality over the world's.
Stefan Salvatore fits that quite nicely.
"Gravity?" Stefan questioned, confused.
"Maybe you are more familiar with the term, fate. It is a force that draws people together towards their destiny."
"And, what does it matter whether I believe in it or not?" Questioned Stefan. He was very confused. Since the moment Samael came into his line of awareness, he felt as if the Grim Reaper himself had his scythe around his neck, just waiting to reap him.
But now, he did not feel that at all. He actually felt more peace than- than practically ever before. It has been so long since he felt so comfortable, as if he was on a right path. A path paved upon justice and purity. A path of virtue.
A path free from guilt.
It was bizarre.
"Humor me, Stefan, tell me, do you believe in it?" Samael questioned as he gazed upon the full moon, its light shining inside through the uncovered window.
The vampire remained silent for a moment, "If you asked me long ago, before I became a vampire, I would have said no, but now..." Stefan began as he remembered every kill, every innocent person he tore apart because of his curse, the curse of being the Ripper.
"Yes, I believe In fate, and I believe it to be quite the cruel mistress."
Hearing his words Samael for the first time smiled genuinely.
"That I have to agree with, but tell me, have you ever thought about going to Heaven?"
At Samael's question, Stefan tensed, and his face scrunched up in a frown.
Even though he felt peace, and no sense of danger from Samael, he still couldn't help but attempt to be wary against the Stand User.
Samael chuckled, "What's with that face. I'm not talking about dying, Stefan."
"What are you talking about then?" Stefan questioned, still forcing himself to be ready for anything.
"Heaven, Stefan. For one to go there in spirit and body, one must evolve into the state that fits the conditions necessary for it.
I am sure you have heard rumours, or maybe even have found evidence for the fact that Heaven exists.
That angels exist. That demons exist.
That the Devil and his cage exist.
That Hell exists." Samael stated, his eyes finally turned towards the vampire who remained silent, for Stefan had heard about it.
He even believed it. He always wanted to go to Heaven. To redeem himself of what the curse of vampirism has forced upon him.
But he knew demons could never go to Heaven. And that is what vampires were, demons.
"Have you ever thought about going there Stefan? About surpassing it all, and opening the gates yourself, to step into the Paradise a absentee God has made?" Samael questioned.
"I... I have, but what does it matter, its impossible. Demons can not have peace. Those I love and myself can never enter it, let alone see the pearly gates." Stefan stated, his tone somber.
"But what if I told you there is a way. A way to make the entirety of Creation ours? With God having abandoned it, it's basically up for grabs, don't you think?"
"What are you talking about?" Stefan questioned, for he understood the words, but they seemed absurd.
Samael then simply extended his hand to him.
Stefan looked in even more confusion at what he could possibly mean by it.
"Don't look so wary, take it. Shake my hand, and you will see, see what I mean." Samael told him calmly, even with gentleness.
Unseen by the vampire, Samael's head was crowned by black thorns that extended to surround the hand he has offered.
This was Samael's second Stand, for it seemed he inherited even what Dio stole, The Passion, Jonathan Joestar's Stand.
The one Dio took by stealing Jonathan's body after his own was destroyed by him in the final battle within the vampire's Castle.
'For Heaven to work, I need a friend I can truly trust. One that I can even share my secrets with. It is the condition of Heaven. Luckily for me, it seems my previous life's memories do not fall under it because of some kind of block by whatever has brought me here.
The block seperates the memories from the very laws of this world and Jojo's.
But, Stefan still needs to understand Heaven. To see It with his own eyes... To understand what I am offering him.
And The Passion, is the Stand for that, for it can show its user and whoso they choose their own and their blood relatives possible futures, depending on the actions they take.
So take my hand Stefan, and see,' Samael thought to himself, firmly.
The Passion, itself is different from what it was supposed to be. Same with Heaven and even The World.
For these were no longer either Dio's or Jonathan's, but Samael's.
Stefan was hesitant. But something seemed to draw him in. Draw him into taking that hand. It was akin to the very force Samael had just described.
Gravity.
Stefan did not know what laid in store should he take that hand, but he felt... He felt If he didn't take it now, that he then for the rest of his immortal life would regret it.
And so he finally shook it, and saw.

(Author note: Hello everyone! Hopefully you enjoyed the chapter!
Do tell me how you found it! I took a lot of inspiration from the Books here, and with the whole absentee creator from Supernatural.
Stefan becoming the Pucci to Samael's Dio is something I find very interesting, wouldn't you all agree?
Also, do please comment.
Like, your comments is basically what makes me want to continue. The less I have, the less motivated I become, because Interaction with you all is one of the main reasons I write.
So yeah, if you still want me to continue this story do please tell me and I'll hopefully see you all later,
Bye!)
