As they approached the house, Akira could see her friend's father, a rugged-looking man with a worried expression, standing outside. He nodded at Akira as she approached.
"Thank the stars you're here, Akira. I've managed to slow down the poison, but it's only a temporary measure. We need to get the antidote in her system as soon as possible." Akira nodded, her mind racing with the situation. She followed her friend and his father into the house, where his mother lay on a bed, her face pale and clammy. Akira quickly examined her, her skilled hands moving with precision as she assessed the situation.
"I'll need to make an antidote, but I'll need some ingredients. Does anyone know where I can find the Blackthorn flower?" she asked, her eyes scanning the room.
"Oh right here!" Nova said as she held out the flower and Akira indifferently nodded her head.
Akira took the Blackthorn flower from Nova, her expression still serious and focused. She began to carefully extract the petals and mix them with other ingredients, her hands moving with a practiced ease.
"I'll need to brew this into a potion. It will take a few minutes," she said, her voice calm and detached. She didn't look up at Nova or her father, her attention fixed on the task at hand. The air was thick with tension as they waited, the only sound the soft bubbling of the potion as it brewed.
The light were on as she switched the lights off and flicked a flame on the tip of her slender finger.
The flame danced on the tip of Akira's finger, casting a warm, golden light on her face. The room was bathed in a soft, flickering glow, and the shadows seemed to come alive on the walls. Akira's eyes gleamed with a quiet intensity as she carefully added the final ingredients to the potion, her movements precise and deliberate. The air was filled with the sweet scent of the Blackthorn flower, and the sound of the flame crackling softly. The atmosphere was one of hushed anticipation, as if the very fate of Nova's mother hung in the balance.
Akira's eyes never left the potion as she carefully poured it into a small vial, the flame on her finger casting a mesmerizing dance of light on the glass. She then turned to Nova's mother, her expression still serious, and gently lifted her head, cradling it in the crook of her arm. With a steady hand, she poured the potion into Nova's mother's mouth, her eyes locked on hers as she swallowed. The room was silent, the only sound the soft crackling of the flame, as they waited for the potion to take effect. Akira's gaze never wavered, her eyes burning with a quiet intensity, as she willed the poison to be drawn out of Nova's mother's body.
Akira's eyes flicked to the Nieno device as she quickly typed out a message to her kids. Her fingers moved swiftly over the holographic screen, her eyes scanning the words as she wrote.
"Just a quick update, I'm running a bit late. I'll be home soon. Love you all." She sent the message and then turned her attention back to Nova's mother, a small smile on her face.
"Remember, take the elixir every morning and evening for the next month. You should be fully recovered by then." She handed the bottle to Nova's father, who took it with a grateful expression.
Akira's gaze lingered on Mercy's face, her eyes filled with a deep affection and gratitude. She had never forgotten the kindness and care that Nova's family had shown her in her time of need. The scars on her body had long since healed, but the emotional wounds had taken longer to mend. But with the love and support of Nova's family, she had slowly begun to rebuild her life. And now, as a renowned doctor and healer, she was determined to repay that kindness in any way she could. She smiled softly at Mercy, her eyes shining with warmth.
"You're going to be just fine, Mercy. I'll make sure of it."
As she turned to leave, Akira's thoughts turned to her own life and the incredible journey she had been on. From a young girl who had been broken and battered, to a strong and capable woman who was now making a difference in the lives of others. She felt a sense of pride and purpose, knowing that she had found her true calling as a healer. And she knew that she would always be grateful to Nova's family for giving her a second chance at life.
As she walked out of the house, Akira's Nieno device beeped, signaling an incoming message. She pulled it out and smiled as she saw that it was from her kids, responding to her earlier message.
Cutie Pies: We love you too, Mama! Hurry home, we're making dinner!
She smiled, feeling a warmth in her heart. She couldn't wait to get home to her kids and spend the evening with them. She got into her flying car and took off into the sky, soaring above the trees as she made her way back to her home in Star Gaze Town.
Akira smiled, feeling a sense of security knowing that Snow Ball was watching over her kids. She had no doubts that her intelligent and resourceful children could handle themselves, but with Snow Ball by their side, she knew they were extra safe. She chuckled to herself, thinking about how fiercely protective Snow Ball was, despite being just a small pup.
"Don't underestimate Snow Ball," she thought.
"He may be small, but he's a force to be reckoned with."
"Mama is Grandma Mercy and Grandpa Ray okay?" Anastasia asked she closed her book, Draconian tagged on his mama hand while the youngest also snuggled in her mama arms.
"Yeah are they okay?" Stellen asked.
"Mama she won't die she is only 440 years old she is still young!" Draconian whined worried. Akira laughed lightly.
"Yes my cutie pies she is fine," Akira said she stood up and picked up Snow Ball and threw him inside a bucket and Snow Ball knows how much cleanliness Akira is a cleanliness freak. Even in her fancy cabin you won't see any dust.
Akira smiled, relieved that her children were concerned about Grandma Mercy's well-being.
"She's going to be just fine, babies. Grandma Mercy is strong and healthy, and she'll be around for a long, long time." She scratched Snow Ball behind the ears as he settled into his bucket, looking pleased with himself.
"Now, who's ready for dinner? I think I'll make your favorite, pasta with dragon sauce!"
