Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Strategic Planning

In the previous chapter, the mysterious letter brought by the cloaked messenger hung over Solomon and the others like a heavy stone, a constant weight on their minds. However, the situation on the battlefield left them little time to dwell on this unknown threat. The relentless assault of the Wild Wolf Tribe continued, and every battle now weighed heavily on the future of the Glory Continent.

Inside the command tent, Solomon sat with a furrowed brow, studying the map that detailed the Wild Wolf Tribe's offensive routes. He was deep in thought. As the leaders of other factions began to file in, their expressions mirrored his grave concern.

"Solomon, the Wild Wolf Tribe's attacks are becoming more troublesome by the day. We need a solution." A burly general said, his face etched with anxiety.

Solomon raised his head, his gaze steely. "You're right. After observing their tactics, I've realised the Wild Wolf Tribe isn't without method. They typically send small scouting parties first to test our defences. Once they've gathered enough information, they focus their main forces on our weakest points."

"Those crafty bastards!" another general scowled, frustration evident in his voice. "How do we counter this?"

"I believe we need to study their tactics in detail, then devise a targeted counterattack plan," Solomon said, pointing to the map of the allied forces' defences.

"But how exactly do we do that?" a third general asked, puzzled.

"We can adjust our defensive formations based on their attack patterns. By reinforcing vulnerable points and ensuring our defences are stronger where they are likely to strike, we can make it difficult for them to exploit any weaknesses," Solomon explained.

"That's a valid approach, but we can't just sit back and defend. We need to take the initiative," a young general added, his voice full of determination.

"Exactly," Solomon agreed. "I'm also considering a more aggressive move. We could organise an elite assault team to launch a surprise attack on the Wild Wolf Tribe's leader. If we can take down their leader, it will throw them into disarray." His eyes glinted with a flash of excitement.

"I like that idea! But who will lead this assault team?" someone asked.

"I will," Solomon said without hesitation. "I have confidence in my own strength, and I'm familiar with many of the Wild Wolf Tribe's battle strategies."

"Good. With you leading the charge, we're in good hands!" The generals agreed enthusiastically.

"Additionally, we can employ tactics such as flanking and coordinated strikes. In the heat of battle, we must remain flexible to keep the enemy on the back foot," Solomon continued.

"How exactly will we implement this?" the generals asked, their curiosity piqued.

"For the next engagement, we can intentionally appear weak on the frontlines, drawing the Wild Wolf Tribe's main forces into a direct assault. Then, I'll lead the assault team around their flank and hit them from behind. Meanwhile, you'll coordinate attacks from both the front and the sides to trap them in a pincer," Solomon explained in detail.

"Brilliant! That will certainly throw them into chaos," the generals nodded in approval.

"This plan sounds promising, but we'll need to work closely together. Any mistake could cost us," one experienced general warned.

"Indeed. We'll need to train intensively to ensure flawless coordination between our forces. Moreover, we must gather as much intelligence as possible on the Wild Wolf Tribe before the operation," Solomon said firmly.

"Agreed. Let's prepare immediately!" The generals left the tent with renewed energy, ready to set their plan into motion.

Soon after, the battle erupted with fury. The air was thick with the sound of war cries and the smoke of gunpowder.

As per the plan, the allied forces deliberately left an opening in their defences, and, true to expectation, the Wild Wolf Tribe's main force surged forward like a tide.

"Ha! These allies are weak, brothers, charge!" The Wild Wolf Tribe's leader bellowed from the frontlines, his voice full of arrogance.

As the Wild Wolf Tribe pushed deeper into the allied defences, Solomon led his assault team with lightning speed, flanking them like shadows, and swiftly encircling their rear.

"For glory, for victory—charge!" Solomon cried, his Starblade gleaming as he raised it high.

The assault team pounced on the Wild Wolf Tribe's rear like tigers descending from a mountain, immediately shattering their formation.

"We're surrounded!" The Wild Wolf soldiers began to panic, realising too late that they were caught in a deadly trap.

At the same time, the allied forces launched a coordinated attack from both the front and the flanks, leaving the Wild Wolf Tribe trapped in a deadly pincers movement.

"Damn it, we've fallen into their trap!" the leader of the Wild Wolf Tribe roared in fury.

After a brutal clash, the Wild Wolf Tribe's forces began to crumble under the sustained pressure of the allied attack, eventually retreating in full disorder.

"We've won!" The soldiers of the allied forces erupted into cheers.

This victory bolstered the morale of the allied forces. What had started as passive defence had now turned into an active campaign of relentless counterattacks. The Wild Wolf Tribe was gradually driven back, step by step, towards the northern wastelands.

However, at the victory feast, Solomon did not relax. His thoughts were still occupied by that mysterious letter. Suddenly, there was a commotion outside the tent. A soldier rushed in, his face pale with fear.

"Young Master Solomon, something's wrong! We've spotted a group of mysterious figures lurking near the camp. Their movements are strange, and we don't know what they're up to..."

Who were these mysterious figures? Were they somehow connected to the cryptic letter? What threat did they pose to the allied forces? A deep sense of unease filled the air, and the clouds of uncertainty seemed to be gathering once more, casting a shadow over the victory they had just won.
