Prince Aedric stirred in his bed, blinking against the soft morning light filtering through the window.
His body felt oddly light, as though a heavy burden had been lifted from him. He sat up slowly, stretching his arms and testing his strength. To his surprise, his previous injuries were gone. Even the lingering aches from his training sessions had vanished.
He wasn't surprised. He knew who had done this.
"Selene," he called, his voice still hoarse from sleep.
Lady Selene, who had been sitting by his bedside, immediately stood and approached him. Her expression was calm, but there was a flicker of concern in her eyes. "You're awake. How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine," Aedric said, swinging his legs over the side of the bed. He looked at his hands, flexing his fingers as if to confirm that he was truly healed. "Better than fine, actually. He was here, wasn't he?"
Selene hesitated. "Who?"
