"Let go of me, you brat!" Shen Xiu snapped, attempting to push against his chest. Her strength, however, was nothing compared to his, and her resistance only amused him.
A smirk played on Shen Fei's lips as he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her even closer. His breath was hot against her ear as he whispered, his voice low and teasing, "Aunt, you are my most precious toy. If you ask me anything, I'll tell you everything."
A visible shiver ran down Shen Xiu's spine as his warm breath tickled her ear. Desperate to put an end to his antics, she quickly asked, "Fine. Then tell me—why did you suddenly decide to start studying?"
Shen Fei chuckled, his fingers lightly grazing the exposed skin of her thigh. His touch sent an involuntary jolt through her body. "Isn't it obvious? I did it for you," he murmured, his voice laced with mischief.
"For… me?" Shen Xiu's eyes widened slightly, confusion flickering across her face.

Shen Fei's grin widened as he released a small burst of his aura, the overwhelming force of a Three-Star Silver Rank Demon Spiritualist pressing down on her. "Impossible?" he repeated, his tone mocking. "Then how do you explain this?"
A wave of panic flashed through Shen Xiu's eyes. This wasn't normal. This kind of progress was unheard of.

However, as she absentmindedly ate, her mind wandered to the inevitable future—the moment he reached Gold Rank and the promise she had made.

More than an hour passed before a knock echoed at the door.

"Come in," Shen Fei said, his voice steady as he opened his eyes from meditation.
The door creaked open, and the servant returned, accompanied by several others, each carrying cages filled with Snow Rabbit Demon Beasts—the very creatures he had experimented on just a couple of days ago.
"Put them over there," Shen Fei commanded, pointing to the corner of the room.
The servants obeyed without hesitation, carefully placing the cages down before the leading servant returned his space ring. With a bow, they all left, closing the door behind them.
Shen Fei's gaze landed on the trembling beasts, a cruel smile forming on his lips.
"With all of these, I can continue perfecting the Slave Inscription Technique. I still have two years before Nie Li's reincarnation, so there's plenty of time to refine it," he muttered to himself.
After a brief pause, a different thought crossed his mind.
"Forget about the Slave Inscription for now… let's try the Demon Devouring Technique instead."
