Chereads / The Blessed Omega / Chapter 16 - His daughter

Chapter 16 - His daughter

Sebastián

She squirmed beneath me, her futile struggles igniting something primal within. I had her pinned against a tree, her back pressed against the rough bark as moonlight filtered through the canopy above.

I found her wandering in my woods—trespassing on my territory. The moment I stepped closer, my wolf, Killian, roared a single word in my mind.

Mate!

I froze. My eyes locked on her, taking in every detail, every breath, every subtle movement. She ducked her head, exuding submission.

An omega.

My mate? I questioned Killian. My mate, a weak, unremarkable omega?

It wasn't possible. It couldn't be. She had appeared out of nowhere—an intruder on my land. For all I knew, she could be a spy, an assassin, or worse. Yet, I couldn't explain the unexplainable feeling i was getting, like I was drawn to her.

No. I shook it off. There was no way. I exhaled and focused on Killian.

Killian, are you insane? I demanded. Lonely enough to call just anyone our mate?

She's ours, Killian snarled. You recognized her scent, didn't you? Sweet, addictive... Mark her. Now.

Vanilla and caramel. Her scent was intoxicating, no matter how much I wanted to deny it. I inhaled sharply, drawing it deep into my lungs, even as my mind rebelled against the idea.

This wasn't just lust or instinct. I wanted her. Desperately.

She moved, attempting an escape, but I was faster. Before her foot could touch the ground, I caught her effortlessly, pinning her back against the tree—firmer this time.

That's when I saw her eyes.

Emerald green. Bright, fiery, and defiant, they glared back at me despite the submission her body exuded.

She's glaring at me?

A chuckle escaped me, unbidden. This little omega had fire.

She's not weak, Killian insisted. She's beautiful. Perfect.

Shut up, I snapped, slamming the link closed. Killian was a distraction I couldn't afford. This wasn't the time to lose myself to primal instincts. I needed answers.

"Who are you?" I demanded, my voice huskier than intended. Damn it. She'd hear the want I couldn't suppress.

She stayed silent, defiance simmering in her gaze. Her eyes were like emeralds dancing in fire, captivating and maddening all at once.

"Not talking?" I leaned closer, deliberately crowding her space. "Do I need to make you? I know plenty of ways to get someone to talk."

She still didn't speak. The silence stretched, daring me.

I hovered near her lips, so close I could feel her breath against mine. Pale pink, her lips were soft and inviting. If she wasn't going to answer, I'd take what I wanted.

I kissed her.

Her initial reaction was shock—she froze under me, her body stiff. But then she softened, her lips clumsy and hesitant against mine. She wasn't fighting me, wasn't resisting.

Was she truly an enemy?

I deepened the kiss, my doubts melting away as I guided her, my hold gentling without thought. Her lips were warm and soft, her innocence stirring something in me I didn't recognize.

Suddenly, the tension on my shoulders dissipated, I almost forgot all about what had happened earlier. Almost.

*flashback*

I had stormed out. I had walked out on my brother and my sister-in-law and I hated it. I hated that these people made me this way, I could not control my emotions and actions, I really hated it. I was going to get what I wanted, it was 10 minutes to midnight, my brother influenced by me decided not to open the gates until tomorrow morning, maybe at around, 8 or 9, I don't know and I really did not care. What mattered was that Lucian's little princess was going to sleep outside today which would probably be her first time.

I was worried that Zoe would not give in and still argue but she threw in the towel when my brother remained quiet after presenting my case to him.

Then suddenly, Calvin, one of my brother's men, who was stationed at the gate came in.

" Alpha, I have a message." He said by the door. He couldn't enter the alpha's house without permission.

" come in." My brother said

" What is it?" I asked him as i turned to look in his direction.

" The princess of the Lucian Pack has sent one of her people to relay a message." Calvin started.

" So? Tell them we will listen to what they have to say tomorrow." I said dismissively. I had the right to say this, it was with my jurisdiction before the alpha, they had to go through me and if the matter was important enough for my brother's attention, I would report it to him.

Calvin stood there very awkwardly. This was a bad sign.

My sister-in-law stood up again, and nudged my brother.

" Is it that important?" My brother reluctantly asked.

" Yes, She said that it is her eighteenth birthday tomorrow and she does not want to take her first shift outside wolf territory." Calvin relayed the information. I froze and then quickly recovered.

" What are the chances that she is lying to us? I wouldn't put it past her, after all, she inherited that bastard's genes." I spat. This did feel like a set up and all i did was voice my concerns, i would not be made a fool twice in a day.

"Sebastian, don't be like that. We are not going to judge the poor girl just because she is Lucian's daughter. I mean think about it, she must be horrified right now, a first shift is important, it wouldn't be fair if she had one outside, all alone." Zoey said.

" If it's that important then she should have stayed at home and only arrived here tomorrow like planned." I snapped a little.

Then I turned and looked at Calvin, " Tell her to not make her problems ours, we have plenty on our plates." I instructed Calvin icily.

" Sebastián! Kai, you better do something about your brother, right now or I will go to the gates and keep the Lucian Pack's princess company!" Zoey said. Oh, boy, I lost this one.

Kai who had his head down looking at the floor with his fingers interlocked looked up with a sigh, " Fine. Sebastian, let them through. Let's not create any further headaches for us. You just came back from a mission so let's use this time to rest instead of arguing, what happened has happened, we can not change it anyway." This was my brother's monologue before I stormed out.

Then I found this girl wandering in the woods just as I wanted to be alone and cool off.

*End of Flashback*

I pulled away from her and let her catch her breath. She was flashed and gasping for air and I strangely found it cute. This weirded me out. What was wrong with me? I shook my head lightly and focused on the girl.

" you still won't talk?" I asked her with a light smile.

She looked away and said, " why would I introduce myself to a stranger? Who are you?"

Her voice sounded lovely to my ears. I chuckled, she's feisty.

" Alright, I'll start, my name is Kai Crescent, a beta of the pack." I lied.

Her eyes looked up at me and they suddenly widened.

"B-beta?" She stammered.

I nodded, was my title that attractive?

She blushed and ducked.

"What's yours?" This was ridiculous,I felt like a high school kid again.

" I'm Isabella, Isabella Morgan from the Lucian Pack." She said with a shy smile looking at me.

What? Her name was like a bucket of cold water to my face.

A sudden surge of disgust rolled over me. Damn it! I just kissed his daughter? I really just shared a passion kiss with Lucian's daughter?!
