Chapter 19 - Kamado Family (1)

Surya moved quickly in the morning through the trees and mountains. Every minute, he covered over ten kilometers. He eventually arrived in a little town near the mountains. He walked into the hills and observed his surroundings. After some time, he arrived at a partially destroyed house and saw the Kamado family.

He observed Tanjiro's dead body, as well as his siblings. He noticed Kie Kamado and Nezuko crying in front of the dead victims. Seeing Surya, the Demon slayers approached him and explained the issue.

According to demon slayers, they learned about the Kamado family at night. They came all the way here to see if the report was correct. They inquired about the Kamado family's current condition in town. Some residents informed them that two of them, Kie Kamado and Nezuko Kamado, were in town. After hearing the Demon Slayer report, Surya used his power to view the memories of Kie and Nezuko Kamado.

For generations, the Kamado family has made a living by selling charcoal found in the mountains. Tanjiro's father died, and their lives grew increasingly tough. Kie Kamado occasionally goes down to the mountain to sell charcoal, as does Tanjiro. This time, Kie chose to go down the mountain to sell charcoal and additionally, she also wanted to see a doctor because Nezuko was sick. She took Nezuko with her.

Tanjiro also argued with his mother because he wanted to go instead of her, but Kie would not let him. She took Nezuko with her to sell charcoal. After selling charcoal, she went to the doctor with Nezuko, and by the time everything was done, it was night. The doctor advised them to stay in the town and not travel there at night. Kie had no choice but to remain in the town.

After seeing Kie Kamado's memories, he understands why they stayed in town. He gazed at Tanjiro's lifeless body and didn't know how to access his memories, but when he questioned the system, it displayed memories of Tanjiro.

The demon attacked Kamado's family at night, however, it was a stray demon rather than Muzan. Tanjiro detected the demon's presence even though it was distant from his home. He assumed it was some type of wild animal and went to another room to find the weapon. This was his mistake: he assumed a demon was an animal.

The demon struck his house fast and slaughtered his brothers. Tanjiro's thoughts went blank after witnessing their deaths, and he was overwhelmed with hatred. Kanjiro used an axe to fight a demon, but Tanjiro lacked the necessary training. Importantly, he knew nothing about demons and suffered injuries through the whole incident.

Although he did not destroy the demon, he did immobilize it at the expense of his life. The Demon Slayer Corps discovered the residence, but it was too late. Because they are all dead, and the Demon Slayer Corps killed the demon.

Surya looked through all the memories and remained silent for a while. For a while, he didn't know how to react and felt guilty. If he had located them sooner, the accident would not have occurred. When he arrived in this world, he had no idea where Kamado's family lived, and telling the demon slayers about them would result in an endless barrage of questions from the demon slayer corps. More importantly, he lacked strength.

Surya questioned the system about Tanjiro's death. He was the main character, but he had died. The system simply informed him that his actions would have a serious impact on the entire universe. This impact is determined by the world he was in. If it is a lower world, it will be harsher; if it is a higher world, it may be less so.

Surya observed Kie and Nezuko Kamado, who were blaming themselves. Surya didn't know how to console them. Surya nodded as he saw the demon slayer corps. After that, they started digging pits along the side of the house. Surya assessed the situation and walked in a different direction.

Surya noticed a blue spider lily in Kamado's family memories, which Muzan valued highly. Muzan could use this to conquer the sun. The Blue Spider Lily is a flower that resembles a spider lily but is blue rather than red.

The flower only blooms during the day for two to three days per year before closing up like a huge horsetail weed. Blue Spider Lily does not always bloom, depending on the temperature. This explains why Muzan never found it, although scouring throughout Japan for centuries.

Surya approached the hill and glanced at the rising sun. He searched for some time, according to his memory, and ultimately discovered the blue spider flower. He removed its roots and placed them in his system space. This could be a major bait to entice Muzan. He knows Muzan will not be peaceful after learning that someone possesses a blue spider lily. Surya surveyed the surrounding region and destroyed it.

He is aware that his presence will result in a different plot from the original. If Muzan receives Blue Spider Lily from a human source, it could result in a major calamity. After damaging the region, Surya went to the Kamado family's home.

The demon slayer corps had already buried the Kamado family members. Surya stared at Kie ana Nezuko. He walked carefully up to them and stood by them.

"I'm sorry for the loss, lady."

When Kie Kamado heard a male voice, her heart and mind calmed down immediately. She looked at Surya beside her. Nezuko's feelings also calmed significantly. Of course, Surya used his abilities to calm their thoughts and emotions. He knows that if he doesn't do it, they may be unable to recover from their misery.

Kie was a woman with a noticeably light complexion, kind, dark purple eyes that appeared a lighter color around the rims of their irises, and a small beauty mark located on the left of her face below her lower lip. She had black hair, worn tied back in a messy bun with a few loose strands left to dangle over her face.

Kie was a warm and loving person. As the mother of six children, she was always seen displaying a very affectionate and caring personality. Since she was a single mother, Kie always tried to be as warm and kind to her children as she could to fill the gap her husband left. She was very protective of her children.

When she saw her children's deaths, she felt her world ripped apart. After her husband's death, she felt lonely and focused on caring for her children. However, she is aware of how devastated she was following her husband's death. She did not expect her children to perish in a single night.
