Chapter 1 - INVENTION

Today, I watched a movie where the hero travels through time, going to the past to end a fight between his parents. I was absolutely fascinated. The way the hero navigated through different points in time, changing events and shifting outcomes, made me laugh and think deeply. I enjoyed the movie so much that I couldn't stop wondering, is it really possible to travel through time?

I spent hours thinking about the possibilities—how amazing it would be to go back in time and correct mistakes, or leap into the future to see how things unfold. But soon enough, the thought slipped away from my mind. After all, who has time to dwell on such fantastical ideas when there's schoolwork and the hustle of daily life?

The next day, I went to school, and as usual, the chatter of my classmates filled the air. Suddenly, someone mentioned that tomorrow would be a holiday. Naturally, I thought to myself, "Why is there a holiday tomorrow?" Curious, I asked one of my teachers, "Why is tomorrow a holiday?"

One of the teachers, with a hint of a smile, replied, "Sir, check the calendar. Tomorrow is Eid."

I nodded, thinking it made sense. But just as I was about to move on, a Muslim teacher overheard and added, "Actually, Eid isn't tomorrow—it's the day after tomorrow."

I froze for a moment, feeling completely confused. "What? How do you know that tomorrow isn't Eid? Aren't we all following the same calendar?" I asked, my curiosity piqued.

The teacher explained with a gentle smile, "You see, we celebrate Eid by looking at the moon. Tomorrow, the moon won't be visible here, but it will be visible in Dubai. So, the people in Dubai will celebrate Eid tomorrow. For us, we'll see the moon the day after tomorrow, and that's when we will celebrate."

I stood there for a moment, my mind racing. It was such a simple explanation, but it completely blew my mind. Then, a mischievous thought crossed my mind, and I couldn't resist saying, "Sir, what if you could reach Dubai tomorrow? Then you could celebrate Eid there, and then come back here to celebrate Eid with us the day after!"

The teacher's eyes widened, and he laughed, "Wow! Is it really possible to travel so quickly that we could beat time? Can we travel faster than time itself?"

The whole class erupted in laughter, but I didn't let it bother me. I was focused on something else entirely. I had just made a joke, but in that moment, a thought struck me deeply. What if we could actually move faster than time? What if speed could somehow bend the rules of time and allow us to travel through it?

I couldn't stop thinking about it. As I sat through the rest of the lessons, my mind kept returning to the idea of time travel. I was fascinated by the concept but also frustrated by the limitations. If only we could break through those limitations, what would it be like to truly travel through time? Could it be that the answers to time travel were hidden in plain sight, and we just needed to figure out how to look at them differently?

When I got home that afternoon, I couldn't shake the thought of time travel. I had to know more. I started browsing articles and research papers on my phone, hoping to find something that might explain how time travel could be possible. Most of the information I found, however, was just the same—it all stopped at a few basic ideas.

I came across three main concepts that seemed to be the stumbling blocks of time travel:

1. Gravity

2. Speed

3. Weight

I paused for a moment, thinking. Gravity—what an odd thing. Every object on Earth, no matter how small, gets affected by gravity. Even the tiny particles of dust that we can't see in the air are drawn down by gravity. Nothing is exempt.

Then, I thought about speed. No vehicle in the world could possibly reach the speed necessary to break the rules of time. Light itself, which travels faster than anything we know, is still limited by the speed at which it moves. And that's just light—what about a human being?

Finally, I thought about weight. Every object has weight, and in the context of time travel, this was one of the hardest things to consider. If gravity exists as a force, wouldn't everything we know have weight as well? It seemed impossible to escape from the gravitational pull that binds everything in existence.

The more I thought about it, the more the idea seemed impossible. How could anyone possibly overcome these three fundamental concepts—gravity, speed, and weight—to travel through time? My mind kept racing, but each time it seemed to hit a brick wall.

I spent the next three days obsessively researching, diving into articles and watching videos on time travel. I was desperate for an answer, but no matter how much I searched, it felt like there was nothing new. The more I looked, the more the question seemed to evade me.

In the end, I gave up. I thought to myself, What am I doing? I'm really a fool for wasting time on something so impossible. I'm giving up real opportunities to think about important things, all for a fantasy.

Just as I was about to close my phone, I heard the sound of my friend calling me from downstairs. It was a welcome distraction. The bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, and I started to head out. But just then, in a flash of inspiration, the idea I had been looking for hit me like a lightning bolt. I suddenly understood something—I wasn't completely off track. The key to understanding time travel might be much simpler than I had thought. The answer was right in front of me all along.

I quickly grabbed my phone again, eager to dive back into the search with renewed determination. The answer, I realized, might not be hidden in the concepts I had been obsessing over—but in a completely different place.
