As the courtroom erupted in deafening chants demanding punishment for the human, everything suddenly froze. The crowd, the gods, the concepts—all were still. Only God (manifest as the green and purple orbs), myself, and a figure shrouded in an aura of hope, despair, the old, and the new remained unaffected.
The ethereal being spoke, its voice a harmonious blend of countless eras. "My Lord, forgive my intrusion."
The orbs, their radiance pulsing faintly, responded in unison, "Time, why have you halted all?"
"Lord God," the figure replied, bowing slightly, "I have paused everything to propose a solution for this human."
The orbs, intrigued, dimmed slightly as if leaning in. "Speak, Time. What is your proposition?"
Time's aura shimmered. "Though this human managed to destroy even me, thanks to your divine will, all beings have been restored. For his transgressions, I suggest the punishment of the Loop. He shall exist in an endless cycle of despair, reliving his torment for eternity. While he might attempt another act of erasure in desperation, it is better for all if his existence is forgotten by the many, leaving him to suffer alone."
The orbs pulsed brighter, their divine energy resonating through the frozen void. "That punishment is far too lenient for a human who has destroyed everything," they declared. "However, we shall augment his suffering to reflect the gravity of his sins. He will face torment not only from the Loop but also from those who remember him. We will allow certain beings to retain their memories of him, and they shall enact their judgment. Yet, we shall restrict their powers, ensuring this human has the ability to fight back."
Time moved closer to me, its ethereal form shifting with every step, until it was beside me. Leaning in, it whispered, "Human, you may see this as punishment, but it is my salvation for you. What happens next will depend on you."
The orbs, their light unwavering, addressed Time. "We are aware of your intentions to save this human, but we shall not hinder them. However, we will maintain the memories of some beings so they may partake in his punishment. The Loop will conceal itself from them, but their actions will contribute to his penance."
Time smiled faintly, its aura softening. "Thank you, my Lord."
I turned to Time, a glimmer of gratitude in my eyes. "Thank you," I murmured.
Time stepped back, and in an instant, everything resumed. The courtroom erupted once more, the voices of gods, primordials, concepts, and eldritch beings clamoring for my punishment.
The orbs silenced them with a thunderous pulse of divinity, the sheer power of their presence quelling all sound.
The courtroom stilled, and the orbs spoke, their voices reverberating across the infinite space. "Sai Semajin, your punishment shall now proceed."
As their decree echoed, the entire multiversal courtroom was enveloped in a radiant, holy white light. Everything dissolved into the brilliance, heralding the beginning of my eternal sentence.
