Victor had forgotten about the quests and the potential rewards from the system. With the coup and Vipon's death, his mind was not even thinking about rewards. What was interesting about those quests, though, was that they had no specified rewards. To cure his curiosity, Victor tapped the screen.
'Main Quest Completed!: Succeed in Taking Over The Luxenberg Territory!'
'Rewards: 1x Legendary-Level Commander Summon, 1x Flagship Summon, 5x Medium-Level Follwer Summon and 10,000 Store Points.'
Victor almost went into shock looking at such overpowered rewards. For him to receive these meant he could now solidify his position as Duke. Victor was most impressed with the Flagship Summon. The Pirate King, who raided the trading lanes, had decimated the Luxenberg fleet. So Victor's new Flagship would be the figurehead of his new navy.
However, the system was not finished, and another screen appeared.
Optional Quest 4 Completed: Execute Vipon Luxenberg!'
'Rewards: 10,000 Store Points 3x 10-Gun Artillery Unit Summon'
More Store Points were always a bonus for Victor, he hadn't spent the 7,000 he had accumulated from completing quests like duelling Klaus and joining his family for dinner. Now his total balance was 27,000 Store Points. Getting 30 cannons was also a pretty savoury reward.
A Dukedom's average amount of cannons was 100, but due to the territory's poor state, only 50 cannons were in service. So gaining an additional 30 was a massive bonus to Victor's military. Before Victor began to use his summons he set the target waypoint for them to arrive at Hannover.
Wasting no time Victor used all 3 of his 10-Gun Artillery Unit Summons. Just like every other unit summon, a green screen appeared with only 1 pictured option. It was just a standard group of 12-pound Cannons.
A bit disappointed Victor chose to move on to his Flagship Summon. This summon was similar to a commander or specific follower summon. A shroud of red smoke spread throughout the screen. The animation was a ship sailing closer to the screen. When the ship became clear Victor almost had a heart attack.
"To think I'd hit the jackpot of all ships" Victor gasped. With a dominant aura, a 4 decked ship was now clearly seen. Flying a Spanish flag the enormous ship had a name placard at the back of it, 'Nuestra Señora de la Santísima Trinidad,' commonly known as the Holy Trinity.
When the animation was finished the screen read 'Nuestra Señora de la Santísima Trinidad,' With 5 stars next to its name. Victor could not contain his happiness, the legendary Holy Trinity that sported 140 cannons and a total crew of 1050 seamen was now the flagship of his Dukedom. For reference, the typical flagship size was usually 108 guns, so the Holy Trinity was the most superior ship on the sea.
Finally, Victor used his 5 Medium-Level Follwer Summon and his 1 Legendary-Level Commander Summon. The Medium-Level Follwer Summon specified that there was a chance of a 3 to 5-star non-military summon. People like servants, merchants, spies and diplomats were some of the potential rewards.
All 5 summons came out in a yellow mist. The group consisted of all 3-star followers. There were 2 financial administrators, a diplomat and 2 spies. Like the artillery and flagship, they were due to arrive the next day. All that was left was now Legendary-Level Commander Summon. This was guaranteed 5-star commander so there was only a small selection of people who could summoned. With a deep breath, Victor used the summon.
An average-height, middle-aged man began to approach the screen through a red smoke. In a blue heavily decorated uniform a man wearing a bicorn hat that hid his greying hair was now visible. Victor grinned profusely. He instantly recognised the man who would become an instrumental part of his Dukedom.
"Hello my new admiral," Victor cheerfully said. The animation finished and the screen read, 'Horatio Nelson,' with 5 stars next to his name. Getting the Holy Trinity and Horatio Nelson was a deadly combination, Victor could leave Admiral Nelson in control of the navy and task him with trying to eliminate the Pirate King and his fleet.
Happy with his haul Victor turned to the store hoping to use his 27,000 Store Points. In the store, there was only 1 thing that Victor had eyes on. For 25,000 Store Points, he could have a 2-Ship Summon. Recognising the lack of a navy he bought and used it straight away. Once the green screen with the pictured options came up there was only 1 selectable option available. Victor was going to get 2 74-gun ships of the lines. Both of them had 700 seamen assigned to them.
"Tomorrow is going to be hectic," Victor muttered as he went to bed.
The next morning came, signalling the third day of Victor becoming the Duke of Luxenberg. His day was filled with establishing the hierarchies for his military, navy, servants and administrators.
General Rapp was appointed the Commander of Luxenberg's land forces. Although he hadn't arrived yet, Admiral Nelson would be appointed the title of Grand Admiral. Florence and Sebastian were appointed Head Butler and Head Maid of the Luxenberg Palace. As for the administrators who were Victor's first supporters in his faction retained or improved their positions, the ones who newly swore their loyalty were seen to be in non-important or less roles.
After dealing with appointments, Victor welcomed his new followers and artillery at the palace. He deferred the artillery to report to General Rapp while he began to assign tasks to his new followers. The diplomat was sent to the Cassell Dukedom to establish an alliance and look at potential trade deals. The spies were sent to the Cruyff Dukedom to begin gathering intel on Harold Cruyff's plans now that Victor had his sister hostage. The financial administrators were assigned to deal with tax collection and territory fund distribution.
Sticking to dealing with new arrivals Victor with an escort from his French Imperial Guard soldiers made his way to the port to see his new fleet. As Victor approached the port he could see the behemoth of a ship sailing in with 2 decent size ships trailing it.
When the ships docked Horatio Nelson descended from the Holy Trinity. Bowing to his lord, Nelson began to speak, "I greet my Duke, Victor Luxenberg. I am ready to serve." Victor smiled and signalled him to rise.
"It's an honour to have such a fine admiral like yourself in my service. You shall be my Grand Admiral. Use my Holy Trinity as your flagship and dominate the waters near the continent of Bulgar. One day I'll see you rule all of the oceans in Syronnea (Name of the World)," Victor said warmly.
Give me orders my Duke!" Nelson replied. Victor instructed him to take the small fleet and patrol the nearby trading lanes. With 3 heavily gunned ships, the smaller and out-gunned pirates will have to be careful when engaging such ferocious ships.
While Victor spent his day organising his new regime another Duke was in a fit of rage. In the city of Sardia, the Cruyff Palace was full of hysterical cursing. Harold Cruyff in a whirlwind of malicious insults was furious at the recently arrived news of Victor being appointed Duke of Luxenberg.
"How the fuck has that pathetic worm become a Duke. Is there any news of my sister or my niece and nephew," Harold Cruyff asked his servant. Nervous to reply he hesitated. He could hardly gather his thoughts. After a minute he began to speak, "I am told no one has seen them since Victor Luxenberg ascended. Our spies assume they are imprisoned or worse."
Angered at such an answer Harold Cruyff responded, "Or worse! If that weak fucker dared to kill them I would pillage and burn his territory to the ground! Prepare a delegation I will see that bastard and take back my relatives."
