Chapter 1 - A Shocking Second Chance

Somewhere in the forest, rain poured relentlessly as a fierce thunderstorm raged. Lightning illuminated the sky, accompanied by the deafening sound of thunder. Among the chaos stood a 21-year-old man with black hair and red eyes, a kickboxer. He relentlessly punched and kicked a tree, over and over, shouting with each strike.

"791 times! Let's keep it going one more time!" he yelled, his voice determined. Preparing for his final strike, he clenched his fist, summoning all his strength. "RAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!" he screamed, throwing his full force into the punch.

At that exact moment, a bolt of lightning struck him, its immense power coursing through his body and ending his life instantly. The storm continued, indifferent to the man's fate.

Moments later, Tyler opened his eyes. He found himself in a colorless, cloudy room, disoriented. "Where am I? What the hell?" he muttered, looking around in confusion.

A voice echoed from behind him. "Welcome, Tyler Walker, to my domain."

Tyler spun around and saw an old man with long white hair and a flowing beard, holding a staff. Tyler stared in surprise. "Who are you, old man?"

The old man smiled. "I am God. And the reason you are here is because you died... and it's kinda my fault."

Tyler froze, his eyes widening as the words sank in. "I... died?" he stuttered. "And it's your fault? How is it your fault?"

God laughed nervously, looking away awkwardly. "You see, my lightning... it struck you down during the hurricane. Totally an accident. My bad!" He scratched his head, sweat forming on his brow.

"Lightning?!" Tyler's legs gave out as he fell to his knees. Dramatically, he cried out, "I had a future! I had plans! My life..." Tears welled up as he mourned his untimely demise.

God chuckled nervously. "Stop laughing at my pain!" Tyler snapped, glaring at him.

"Anyway," God continued, "I brought you here to correct my mistake. I'll give you a second chance—another life in a world of magic and swords."

Tyler froze again, his neck creaking like a door as he slowly turned to face God. His eyes brightened, and a wide grin spread across his face. "Are you serious?!"

God, startled by the sudden excitement, stammered, "Y-Yes..."

"Alright! Let's do it! Now!" Tyler shouted, his enthusiasm overwhelming.

God laughed heartily. "Alright, alright! I'll even give you powers that are special to you. Good luck, Tyler Walker!" With a wave of his hand, God sent Tyler off.

Tyler's vision blurred as he was transported. When it cleared, he found himself standing in an alleyway between two buildings. He stepped out onto the bustling streets, his senses overwhelmed by the noise and activity. People of various species hurried past, and vendors shouted about their wares. Tyler's jaw dropped in amazement.

"Elves, dwarves, beastfolk..." he muttered, naming each species he recognized. "This is awesome!"

Suddenly, a violet screen appeared in front of his face, startling him. "Whoa! What the hell is this?" he exclaimed.

Tyler grinned as he read. "Melee Mage, huh? That's perfect for my kickboxing! This is going to be awesome!".

He stepped into the bustling street, his heart pounding with excitement for the battles ahead. He saw many species he had only ever seen in manga books or anime. He was mesmerized by their appearances but kept walking, smiling as he took in the sights of this magical world. The place looked amazing and beautiful. As he looked up, he noticed two suns in the sky. "Interesting," he said, "having two suns in this world."

He felt mana flowing all around him, a sensation that filled him with awe. "I can get used to this," he muttered to himself. Wondering what to do next, he suddenly had an idea. "Oh, I know! How about I go to the adventurer's guild to start off my new life? That'll be fun!"

As he walked through the bustling streets, the energy of the city surrounded him. Vendors shouted out their wares from stalls, their voices blending into a symphony of commerce:

"Fresh bread and pastries! Best in town!"

"Magical trinkets, potions, and charms! Don't leave unprotected!"

"Weapons sharpened and armor polished while you wait!"

Tyler couldn't help but smile at the liveliness of the town. Overhearing conversations, he caught snippets of gossip and chatter:

"Did you hear about the new adventurer?"

"Some rookie trying to make a name for himself, I bet."

"Yeah, I saw him earlier. He doesn't look like much."

Tyler brushed off the comments, determined to prove them wrong. After hours of searching, he finally found the adventurer's guild. Reading the name of the guild aloud, he grinned and stepped inside. The moment he entered, the lively chatter of adventurers filled the air. The room was alive with activity—tables filled with maps and drinks, groups discussing quests, and occasional bursts of laughter. As Tyler walked further in, heads turned, and whispers followed.

"Who's the new guy?"

"Fresh meat, by the looks of it."

"Bet he doesn't last a day."

Ignoring the remarks, Tyler approached the receptionist's desk. Behind it stood a silver-haired, grey-eyed catkin woman. She regarded him with a polite but curious expression. Tyler smiled and said, "Hi, I'm Tyler Walker," introducing himself.

The woman nodded, her tail swaying slightly as she smiled back. "Welcome to the guild. I'm Lila. It's always exciting to see new faces here." She gestured toward the bustling guild hall. "This is the Adventurer's Guild. We help adventurers find quests, gain ranks, and support each other in their journeys. What can I help you with today?"

"I want to join the guild," Tyler said eagerly. "Today, if possible."

Lila's smile widened. "Of course! Joining is simple. Let me explain the rules of the guild and how the process works." She pulled out a parchment and placed it on the desk. "First, all members must register. This gives you access to quests and ensures your progress is tracked properly. There's a small registration fee, but you'll also receive your guild badge and access to beginner-level quests."

She pointed to the parchment, which listed the guild's rules:

- **Rule 1:** Complete quests within the specified time limit. Failure to do so may result in penalties.

- **Rule 2:** Adventurers are prohibited from harming each other unless in a sanctioned duel.

- **Rule 3:** Report all completed quests to the guild for proper documentation and rewards.

- **Rule 4:** Avoid unauthorized entry into restricted areas.

"Once you sign here," Lila continued, tapping the parchment, "we'll conduct a basic evaluation to assess your skills and determine your starting rank. Don't worry—it's not too difficult."

Tyler nodded eagerly, absorbing every word. Around him, the adventurers continued their conversations:

"Think he'll even pass the evaluation?"

"If he does, he's starting at the bottom for sure."

"Rookies like him are a dime a dozen."

Tyler ignored them, his focus unwavering. With a smile, Lila handed him a quill. Tyler signed his name, officially beginning his journey as an adventurer.
