Starley couldn't believe what she was hearing. Was Raul serious? But Raul didn't seem to be joking. Starley was at a loss for words. So, does that mean Raul had been living with only one kidney all this time?
"Are you serious?" Raul raised an eyebrow at Starley's question and then chuckled softly.
"Do I look like I'm joking?" Raul asked. Starley observed Raul; he seemed very relaxed. Was this the effect of alcohol?
"Why don't you just run away?" Starley asked directly.
Raul smiled slightly. "It's not that easy, cupcake. Damien and I are separated. I once tried to escape, and Ibrahim threatened me, saying he would kill Damien if I tried to run away again. At first, I didn't believe it because Damien had a good master. But then, when I tried to escape a second time, he sent a video of them breaking Damien's legs."
Starley gasped upon hearing this.
"After that, I never tried to escape again," Raul exclaimed.
