Chapter 21 - Agreement

"You're playing with the wrong person, cupcake," Raul said in a low tone. Starley wet her suddenly dry lips. She felt crazy, but it was the alcohol that made her bolder.

"I was just answering your question earlier about whether there were any other desires," Starley replied, trying to appear calm.

Raul looked at Starley with a serious expression. Starley seemed to be drunk. The woman in front of him was indeed a great temptation. Raul got up from his office chair and walked to the document cabinet. He took one of the documents he had prepared a long time ago. Then he approached Starley, still standing, and handed her the document.

"What is this?" Starley asked, confused, as she received the document from Raul.

"Agreement," Raul replied. Starley looked at the document with a displeased expression, picked up a pen lying on Raul's desk, and opened the document.

"Where do I sign?" Starley asked directly. Raul raised an eyebrow when Starley asked that immediately.

"Don't you want to read it first?" Raul reminded her.

"I can read it tomorrow; this long text makes me dizzy," Starley answered. Raul chuckled at that response.

"Don't blame me tomorrow. I've tried to remind you," Raul exclaimed, then pointed out where Starley should sign. Starley didn't listen to Raul's words; she just signed the document. After all, what's the worst that could happen if she didn't read it?

After signing, she looked at Raul and said, "Done."

Raul's eyes looked very dark. Starley cleared her throat and said, "If so, I'll return to my room."

When Starley turned to leave, Raul's strong hand had already held her wrist.

"Where do you think you're running off to, cupcake?" Raul whispered in a low voice. Starley swallowed hard, her heart racing.

"I'm not running away; I want to return to my room," Starley replied.

"Weren't you just asking to be kissed?" Raul asked. Starley thought Raul was pretending not to remember what she had said earlier.

Finally, Starley said, "I was just joking."

"No, I know you weren't joking," Raul exclaimed.

"I'm a little drunk," Starley replied.

"I know. You usually become honest when you're drunk. That means what you said earlier is something you want," Raul said.

Starley wanted to curse herself for not being able to hold her tongue when drunk. Raul was very familiar with this habit of Starley. It was hard to evade Raul's words. Raul pulled Starley's chin, making their eyes meet.

"Now, tell me, what do you want, cupcake?" Raul asked softly. Starley felt dizzy, and the taste of the wine she had drunk still lingered on her lips. Then she glanced at Raul's lips. Her brain said no, don't say it, but deep down, Starley wanted to feel those lips again.

"I want you to kiss me," Starley whispered. After Starley said that, Raul could no longer hold himself back. Raul pulled Starley's waist and kissed her lips.

Starley's hands instinctively wrapped around Raul's neck. At first, it was a gentle kiss, but gradually, it became passionate. Raul was skilled at kissing, making Starley's legs feel weak like jelly.

Raul held the back of Starley's head and deepened their kiss.

Starley's lips tasted sweet, with a hint of wine, but Raul felt something else. He couldn't quite place what it was, but it felt like nicotine; he felt addicted just to Starley's lips.

Raul couldn't remember ever enjoying kissing a woman like he was kissing Starley now. When they kissed, it felt like there were sparks between them. It was pleasurable and intoxicating.

Starley responded to his kiss, so Raul was sure it wasn't just him who was enjoying all of this. Starley's delicate fingers were already tangling in his hair, which Raul liked.

Raul broke their kiss for a moment, allowing Starley to breathe. He looked at Starley's face. She still had her eyes closed, and her breath was heavy. Her face was flushed and looked very tempting. Her lips were swollen from being kissed thoroughly by Raul.

Raul took a deep breath, and the view was so exotic. Just from a kiss, Raul felt incredibly aroused. And only Starley could do this to him.

Raul picked up the phone in his office and then called the waiter from earlier. After the waiter answered the call, Raul immediately said, "No need to bring coffee; I don't need coffee right now. And don't disturb me until tomorrow."

Then Raul hung up the call without waiting for the waiter's response. Starley blinked momentarily and asked, "Why don't you need coffee anymore?"

"Because I'm very awake now," Raul replied. Raul walked back toward Starley.

"And why did you ask the waiter not to disturb you until tomorrow?" Starley asked. Her heart was racing now. Raul's hands were back around Starley's waist, pulling their bodies closer together.

"Because of you." Raul's gaze was earnest, and Starley could see the desire in his eyes.

"I want you so much, Starley," Raul added, his tone filled with anguish and sounding pleading.

It was as if Raul was asking for permission from Starley. For some reason, such a simple thing made Starley melt. If it were another man, he probably wouldn't ask for permission like Raul did—especially a man like Raul, who was very powerful and usually would do as he pleased.

"I want you too, Raul," Starley finally replied. She didn't want to lie to herself.

And right after that, Raul kissed Starley's lips again. This time, it was wilder, as if everything he had held back was finally released.

While still kissing her, Starley felt Raul's hands starting to unbutton her shirt. But Starley let him, and she had no plans to stop Raul.

The next morning, Starley woke up feeling very sore. But she still hugged the pillow as hard as a rock, keeping her eyes closed.

However, Starley's brows furrowed when she realized why her pillow was so hard. Finally, she slowly opened her eyes, and the first thing she saw was Raul's handsome face, still asleep.

Starley blinked momentarily, wondering why Raul's face was so close to hers. Then she noticed Raul was bare-chested.

And Starley looked at herself; she was also bare-chested. Starley's heart raced. Was what happened last night not just a wet dream? Quickly, Starley sat up and looked around.

They were still in Raul's office. After they finished, Starley immediately remembered what had happened last night. They had fallen asleep on the sofa without wearing anything, wrapped in each other's arms. Starley's face was hot.

Oh my God, they hadn't even started their collaboration and slept together again. What was happening? Starley had just eaten her own words.
