Starley saw Raul as if he was watching her. Finally, she tried to change the subject.
"I hope Damien is okay," Starley exclaimed.
Raul was reminded of Damien again. He sighed. Throughout the operation, he had been very tense.
"It's my fault," Raul said.
Starley's eyebrows furrowed upon hearing that. "It's not your fault, Raul."
"I should have stopped him sooner when he tried to chase Ibrahim," Raul said.
"If only my brain had worked faster than Damien's. Maybe all of this could have been avoided," Raul added.
Starley looked at Raul with a sympathetic gaze. He seemed very dishevelled now. His eyes appeared tired, and his hair was a mess.
"Take a shower, eat, and then sleep. You look so exhausted," Starley said.
Raul looked at Starley again this time. "Are you okay?" Raul asked.
Starley smiled faintly and nodded her head. Raul kissed the top of Starley's head. "After I shower, we'll eat together," Raul said.
