Y/n's POV
I couldn't stand being inside for too long anymore. It feels like there are people in there with me. I miss…I'm sure he's busy, though. I'll just go for a walk to get some fresh air.

"Chifu!"
Calling out to him wasn't my intention, but I got so excited, it came out before I could think.
He turned a bright shade of red, but still smiled at me. I rushed over to him and the closer I got, the more his smile faded into worry.
"Y/n, what happened?!" He exclaimed.
I knew I had to look terrible. I haven't left the house nearly as much as I should've for someone wanting to save…
Save…who?
I began turning my thoughts in my head, trying to keep them in order, which had gotten so much harder over the last few weeks.
After feeling a hand grip my shoulder, I was suddenly filled with terror and jumped back. I started to hyperventilate to the point of wheezing.
"Hey, Y/n."
Listen to Mitsuya, sweetheart.
Mitsuya?
I was so scared, I couldn't hear what he or anyone else was saying at all. I could feel tears of frustration build up when I felt someone hug me.
"Breathe with Chifuyu."
I tried and was finally able to calm down to the point that I could see and hear everything with no issue again. I still felt so embarrassed and I didn't even know how to explain anything.
Chifuyu's POV
I haven't seen her since the day we ran into Mikey at her front door. She looks like she hasn't been sleeping or eating right.
Guilt and anger began to cloud his mind.
Mikey confessed, but hasn't stayed with her even now? She's going to get killed all over again!
His train of thought was interrupted by Mitsuya clearing his throat.
"She seems fine now, Chifuyu. I'm sure you can let her go." He commented with a smirk.
After very slowly processing what he was just told, he ripped his arms away from Y/n, spewing apologies in rapid fire mode.
Why can't I be smooth like a main love interest in ANY of the Shoujo manga I've ever read?!!?
His freaking out was halted upon hearing Y/n's laugh. An actual, genuine laugh. All he could do was stare at her beautiful smile.
"Thank you, Chifu. You calmed me down and even made me laugh!" She said in between giggles. "I can't remember the last time I could really laugh like that…"
Mitsuya's POV
Of all the things to witness, he sees that in the midst of whatever issues were going on between Mikey and Y/n, somehow an intimate bond was built between Chifuyu and Y/n.
He watched for a moment more before turning and shaking his head.
They told Y/n they were a little busy right now, but Chifuyu promised he would see her later.
As they waved goodbye to her, Mitsuya couldn't help but make a comment.
"Can't believe you fell in love with Mikey's girl." He looked over his shoulder at Chifuyu when he knew he was going to try to deny it completely. The look made him quietly nod in defeat and look back at the retreating figure of Y/n.
Mitsuya didn't miss the small smile on his face.
Oh Mikey. While you were busy pushing her away, it seems others pulled her closer because they realized sooner what you didn't.
As he continued to walk with Hakkai, he noticed he was still very quiet. Which wasn't weird since he always does that around girls, but when they leave, he goes back to being fine.
He looked at him for a moment before asking him about it. "She makes you that nervous?"
Hakkai shook his head. "She looked very…scared."
