Chapter 1 - some bits and peices

I need some feed back, I'm thinking of starting at winterfell in the year 298 A.C and cover Robert's rebellion later after the main story is finished. The main idea is suaron escaped to Essos after he was defeated at the end of the second age

--------------------------------------------------------

Stepping through the doors of the Throne room Gandalf let out a slient sigh. He knew this expenditure was needed but his old friend was prone to bouts of madness, especially during important conversations. His staff hit the floor in rythem with his feet, towards the 'mad' king who sat on his towering iron Throne. The thousand swords of Aegon's conquest sat poking out like the spikes of the dragons.

Many a Targaryan has been obsessed with Gandalf and the other Istari for after Balerion's death for the old wizards were the last memory of old Valyria. He had seen the towering dragons statues bigger then most dragons. The old grey wizard was In Essos when it happend, he felt the shaking of the earth as it obliterated dragon masters, in such irony they were killed by flames. Was it punishment for the slaves, for the blood work to make dragons, or another nefarious deed? He did not know.

The reason for his mission in Essos during the collapse of the great free hold was the same for his arrival to the capital, in fact it was the whole reason he was set to sail to these forsaken continents.

"Gandalf my friend, for what do you arrive to my city" The kings voice croaked through the room. Aerys was only 39 years old, most Gondorians would consider him a child yet here he reigns looking older then Gandalf himself.

"Unfortunately dark tidings. Have I ever told you why the gods sent me to sail across the ocean to these lands?" Gandalf looked up at the tower of rusted blades and the monarch. The Targaryen looked confused then stepped up and walked carefully down the sharp steps.

"Yes, to bring peace and to Westoros and essos, to unite us" Aerys finally made it to the bottom of the melted swords.

"To unite you against the greatest threat this world has ever known, the Deceiver, the greatest wordsmith and metal Smith alive... Suaron"

"THE ONLY DECEIVER HERE IS YOU!!! You are the word smith the one that has been whispering in the dark to bring me down!!!!" The kings used all of his force and bellowed out his disgressions towards the wizard and most lords of Westoros.

"As I feared" Gandalf whispered low then his voice rose "You are not the first Targaryan monarch to distrust me, but you shall learn when the devil named Suaron shows you fire, true fire, not some cheap blood magic you people practiced!!!" Storming out of the Room, slamming the heavy door causing Aerys to yell out indescernable words.

Gandalf made way for the stables, mounting up his thoroughbred mule, checking his saddle bags, tieing up her staff and decending into the city.

Gandalf headed up the Kingsroad to one of the few lords he trusted. After a few stops he ran along a hunter and his dog a big old hound, shaggy grey hair with ferice long legs. Their Names were Odin and fiŕ. He ate with them and enjoyed his time but alas he had to make his way up north and his friend had to head back to seel his dual of two rabbits, an Elk, and a great big old boar. They had killed a lion cub in addition a grown wolf separated from its pack.

Gandalf rested at an Inn for a drink and balanced meal shortly there after he hustled to the Freys. Despite the Freys bad reputation Gandalf respected most of them, a few bad apples.

"Walder, how have times been?" Though only he knew it Gandalf's friendship with walder frey and house Frey in general stemmed from needed support for the war against Suaron, but it has became a true friendship.

The old man took a swig from his goblet and responded "Gandalf, my oldest friend"

Walder cherished his visitor, it was true Gandalf was Walders oldest friend, well oldest living friend. "Times have been good, Tax yields are the highest they've been since I was an old man" they both laughed at his joke. Gandalf settled in for an afternoon meal.

He stayed a few days enjoying the luxuries he wouldn't have for the next 2 weeks on the road North. But the time came when Gandalf needed to be on the road again. Humming tunes, smoking with people he found along the road. The things he was known for in Westoros.

298 A.C-Winterfell

Bran listened as King Robert Baratheon drunkenly rambled on about his adventures, really anything. The going ons of the Seven kingdoms politics. "Ya know Gandalf, I Asked him to join me on my trip up to here, and uhhhh... he said no, the balls of this old man, if he has any" Robert bellowed out a loud laughter. He continued his ramblings "he went to the Targaryen scum, the girl is getting married to some dothraki king or whatever... I would've killed that old man, but those god worshiping arse's would go nuts"

Gandalf was a very important figure in westoros, all the religious peoples claimed he was an angel of their gods. Meagor the cruel had banished the wizard then committed many sins in direct defiance of the seven. Which started many religious rebellions despite Gandalf's disapproval of war in general.

"But that Suarman, he knows his place, he was a gracouis host, he has really made Moat Callin into a sturdy keep, the weird one, Rataghast, I wonder what he's been up to north of the wall, maybe fucking some trees" Robert let out loud drunkenly laughter banging on his large belly.
