The Alyssa family was the Duke family in the kingdom of Clover was a proud renowned family known for it's powerful use of magic, Duke Ven von Alyssa was an 8th circle mage one of the 7 Archmages of the whole kingdom the duke had a wife and a son named Luke von Alyssa he also showed talent in magic at a young age being known as a genius due to his intelligence and knowledge many thought he would surpass his father in the arts however when Luke was just has reached 5 years of age a powerful curse was placed on him by unknown forces that prevented him from developing further from the 2nd circle.The family worked hard in order to find the culprit and lift the curse but to no like when it seemed like it was about to be uncovered the Duke fell ill due to being poisoned this led to his death 4 years later it was a slow unnoticeable poison that destroyed the bodies cells slowly during an exhibition to protect the borders he faced an injury that led to the poison spreading rapidly leaving him bedridden priests would say the reason the Duke was able to survive so long was because of his strength as an 8th circle Archmage and there was no curing the poison as it has developed to an uncontrollable state Luke was only 8 years old when he heard these heartbreaking news, his mother also died however her cause of death was unknown she suddenly disappeared when Luke was only 3 years old saying she was going to handle some business and never came back fearing his sons fate the Duke gave Luke a pendant that belonged to his mother saying it would protect him at all times.1 year later the the Duke died leaving with the estate.
"What do you mean your breaking off the engagement and revoking our alliance!?"
"Just like i said our family decided that nothing good would come with being associated with your family anymore, your still 2nd circle mage till this day and ever since the Duke died the estate has been declining you no longer have military power and the Alyssa family is facing bankruptcy"
That was Mary von Marigold my Fiancé she is the daughter of the Marigold Duke family her father is a 7th circle mage one of the most powerful in the kingdom now that father died we met during a ball where the royal family and all nobles attempt and our fathers arranged for us to get engaged so the 2 families can come together however now that my family has lost everything they decided to break things off.
"But all this time we spend together doesn't that mean nothing to you?"
"The only only thing great was your families prestige now that it's gone your just a useless falllen noble, that's all i came to say goodbye Luke we won't be seeing each other again"
The young lady of the Marigold family left after relaying the news to Luke she didn't wait to hear objections or pleas but rather rose up from seat and left in a fancy carriage with her guards,Luke could only watch as she left the estate on a window she wasn't wrong ever since the Duke died many nobles who used to align with them have broken all relations and left them to fend for themselves the mansion was in need of renovations but there weren't any servants to take care of it feeling defeated the young master went back to his chambers to rest.
"Is this the end of the Alyssa family? i can't go further than my second circle and i can't manage the estate either, many of our allies have abandoned us...father what would you do in this situation? there's no use in beating myself up about it now I'll just get some rest and deal with it later"
The young master went to sleep while the scene shifts back to the Marigold territory the sun went down leaving a dark night sky with countless stars flickering it was beautiful night a man would be seen drinking a glass of red wine only a silhouette could seen suddenly a hooded figure appears before the man.
"Take care of the boy leaving no traces and handle this cleanly."
The hooded figure would disappear into the night once hearing these words and didn't answer only left to fulfil the mission that was instructed.
"With this the Alyssa family will disappear from the kingdom and my Marigold family will be the most prominent! i must thank that man for giving me the poison and casting a curse on that brat,it's a shame Gill you met an end not befitting your title of Archmage hahahahaha!"
Back at the Alyssa family estate the young master work up from his slumber due to an uneasy feeling he felt looking up a hooded figure was above the ceiling and attempted to slice him in the neck with two daggers narrowly avoiding it it made a small cut on his neck.
"Flash Pillar!"
That was the basic 1st circle spell flash pillar using mana to produce a bright blinding light that lasts for only 3 seconds Luke casted this spell to blind the assassin and make his escape from the backdoor and into the woods and just as if they predicted where he would be going more pursuers were seen.
"What's happening who are all these people people trying to kill me!?"
Luke was running as fast as he can while fending off his attackers,sweat was running down his whole body and he was getting tired off running as well however he was now in a dead end because where he arrived was on top of a large cliff of a which a fall from that height would leave you to your death he was now trapped unable to go any further leaving him no choice but to fight off his enemies.
"Bring it on if you want to kill me i won't make it easy for you to do so!"
Those were words that was spoken by Luke who faced an overwhelming number of enemies what he didn't expect was that there was a 4th circle mage on the enemy list sealing his his fate right then and there facing a huge spell that was casted by said mage he was left helpless as the spell hit him and blowing up the cliff as a result of an explosion leaving him to fall for his doom, the assassins that were sent looked as their victim fell down a deep gorge confirming his death.
"It seems that the assassination was a success now with this it is the end of the Alyssa family hahahahaha, now it's time for us to bring that 'plan' into action."
Where am i? i thought that i fell down a cliff? am i dead? is this the afterlife?
"No my child your still alive...that pendant saved your life."
Who are you?! what pendant!?
"No need to be on guard i am not your enemy, now slowly open your eyes and look at your chest."
Luke opened his eyes slowly feeling that his body is in immense pain he would think that it was from the fall that he just survived and looked at his chest to see the necklace glowing but could no see the person whom he was just speaking to.
"...mom's pendant is glowing, but where is the person i was talking to?"
"I'm talking to you within this pendant no need to be alarmed my soul just went inside the pendant and was dormant i don't have much time, i wish i was there for you but i didn't have a choice in order to protect you and your father."
"Father? are you...my mom?"
"Yes it's me your mother i don't have my time i need to tell you this now before my soul disappears...i'm a dragon the emperor of dragons is more fitting."
Dragons they the pinnacle of all magic and an absolute force that could destroy a whole kingdom with ease, amongst them they have ranks just like humans do and the one who rules above all dragons is called the dragon emperor they say a dragon emperor has the power to destroy the world and your saying that being was able to get killed is also my mother?
"I know it must confusing for you right now but you'll know more as, time goes on because of the relationship i had with your father he and you were both in danger i was able to hide it for so long but the dragons who didn't like my rule found out leaving me no choice but to fight them, but i didn't survive there was someone helping them they hit me with an arrow that made me loose all strength i was able to send my soul to that pendant your father gave you."
"So your saying that you saved me?"
Tears were flowing down his eyes as he was saying that, who could blame him loosing both his mom and dad to unknown forces and now he almost met the same fate.
"But i think your efforts are wasted on me unlike you and father i'm weak i can't even surpass the 2nd circle..."
"That is not the truth did you forget your the son of a dragon emperor and your father a 8th circle Archmage, your dragon lineage was suppressed for now but I'm pretty sure you can notice the changes that have happened to your body and mana heart."
Luke was a bit puzzled by this and checked his mana and found out that it has surpassed the 3rd circle.
"No way i'm now-"
"Yes your now a 4th circle mage your curse has been broken and your powers as a dragon will start to take fold, it will take time for your dragon half to fully accumulate inside your but as time goes on your body will face many changes...looks like the time we have with each other is now nearing it's end son don't give up...survive...and become who...you were meant...to...be...all...this...time..."
"Mom! please don't go! i can't-"
Tears were flowing down his eyes as he heard the voice of his mom dwindle.
"you...can...i...believe in you...find...your...grandmother...after you..become...a...6th circle go to our house you will find clues to her location...goodbye...my...son...I'm...glad...i...got...to...talk...to...you...i...love...you..."
With that Luke was crying his eyes out after his mothers soul disappeared leaving him with a gaping hole inside his heart,now stealing his resolve more and will restore his families honor and find the truth.
"I will restore how family and take revenge to those who put us in this situation know this this the name Luke von Alyssa shall be edged into the history of this kingdom and to do that i have to go to the magic academy,but first how do i get out of here?"
As if responding to his will wings grew behind his back which flew him out the large cliff however that since he never had wings before he fell down the ground the moment he went out the cliff
"This will take time to get used to haha."
Now luke is ready to face the troubles that will face him and the first hurdle would be to survive the magic academy who will have an entrance exam a year later
