Chapter 28 - Chapter 15.1: Ainslif And Darseren Explained

Ainslif (Portals)

Purpose: Ainslif are small portals scattered throughout the dungeon floors that players must locate and enter to fight monsters, gain experience, and rank up.

Function:

They are gateways to areas filled with monsters tied to the floor's ecosystem.

Near an Ainslif, players can observe the type of monsters they might face inside. For example, goblins or orcs outside the portal indicate that goblins or similar monsters await inside.

The leader of the monsters within an Ainslif could be an advanced form of that species, such as a Goblin Lord or an Ultimate Goblin.

Finding Ainslif:

Ainslif can appear randomly while exploring the floor.

Players can also get quests from NPCs in villages to locate and clear a specific Ainslif.

---

Darseren (Boss Rooms)

Purpose: The Darseren is the location of the floor's boss. Players must find and defeat this boss to unlock access to the next floor.

Function:

The Darseren is hidden on each floor and can only be accessed by finding a key or solving a coordinated pattern through the Ainslif.

Players often need an Artemist to copy the coordinated Metra pattern and use it to teleport their party or their allied party to the Darseren.

Boss Encounters:

The Darseren contains spawns of the floor's dominant species, culminating in a battle against the Emperor Stage monster, the most powerful evolution of that species.

Once the floor boss is defeated, the Darseren relocates to a different area, requiring players to find it again for subsequent attempts.
