Chapter 4 - The Passion Of Service.

Rita came back home, as she was sitting thinking about how the interview was, her phone rang and when she checked who was calling, she saw dad, and she shouted,"dad" with a smile on her face. She felt happiness in her heart because her dad had remembered her.

When she picked up the phone call she said," Hi dad, I miss you, and how is home and work? On hearing his daughter's voice, David felt joy in his heart. He imagined how his daughter was at peace with his sister Rachel. He replied to Rita," Hi my princess, I miss you too, and I hope your doing well my dear.

As they continued talking on the phone they discussed alot with laughters in their voices, and Rita told her dad about the job interviews and how she was waiting for the phone call to start work.

That's if she is hired. Her dad told her to count herself in. She believes in her and knows that she can't fail the interview since she has been an intelligent girl since childhood. He encouraged her that she would be hired. His dad later on wished her a good day and hung up the phone.

When Rita aunt Rachael and her cousins came back home in the evening, they asked her how the interview was. Rita replied, it was good and favored me. Automatically, I will be hired because I showed my confidence and bravery. I answered all the questions as expected, hence I impressed everyone in the interview room. Rita was congratulated by her aunt and cousin for finishing the second stage of job hunting.

They had their dinner together that day, and they went to their rooms as usual. After two weeks, Rita sat on her bed and stared blankly at her computer screen. She had been applying for jobs for what felt like an eternity, and so far she had heard nothing but rejection. As soon as she scrolled through her email inbox, her heart sank. More spam, more rejection letters, wait, what was this?

 Her eyes widened as she read the subject line: Job Offer: waitress position at a vintage-themed café. Rita's heart raced as she opened the email and scanned the message, which read as follows;

 Dear Rita,

We are thrilled to inform you that, after careful consideration, we would like to offer you the waitress position at a vintage-themed café. We were impressed by your resume and cover letter, and believe you would be a great fit for our team.

Please find attached the details of your employment, including your start date, your pay and benefits. We look forward to welcoming you to our vintage family!

 Best regards,

 The Vintage themed café Team.

Rita screamed with excitement. She had done it! She had finally landed a job! And not just any job, but a job at the adorable Vintage-themed café. She had been looking after she had finished her interview with them.

She quickly typed out a reply, accepting the offer and asking about the next steps. As she hit send, she felt a sense of relief and excitement watching over her. This was just the beginning of her adventures.

Rita spent the day telling her parents on a phone call the news of getting hired to a vintage-themed café. She started imagining her new role. She couldn't wait to don her vintage-inspired uniform and charm the customers with her bright smile and warm service.

In the evening when her aunt Rachael and her cousins came back home. She welcomed them with a smile on her face and she told them about the good news of getting hired at the Vintage-themed café. They were all happy and excited and congratulated her once again upon getting the job.

As Rita drifted off to sleep that night, she knew that this was just the start of something special she was ready to take on the world, one cup of coffee at a time.

Rita's first day at the vintage-themed café was a whirlwind of activity. She arrived early, eager to make a good impression, and was greeted by the manager, Mister Carlson Patrick, with a warm and welcoming smile. Hey , Rita! Welcome to the team. We are so glad you are here. "

Carlson showed Rita to the backroom, where she met the rest of the staff, a quirky and friendly group of people who seemed to share a passion for vintage fashion and good food. Rita was thrilled to see that everyone was dressed in their own unique vintage-inspired outfits, and she left right at home in her own polka dot dress and cardigan.

They welcomed her with a friendly hello and inductions. Rita felt a sense of belonging already. Next, Carlson took Rita on a tour of the café, introducing her to the different working areas. They started at the coffee bar, where Rita learned about the various drinks and machines. Then, they moved to the kitchen where she met the chef and learned about the menu and food preparations.

As they made their way out to the dining area, Carlson explained the sitting chart, table numbers, and how to take orders. Rita absorbed every detail, eager to learn.

Finally, they reached the counter, where Carlson showed Rita the point of sale system and how to handle customer payments. By the end of the tour, Rita felt overwhelmed but excited about starting her new role.

Wow, that's alot to take in, Rita said, laughing. But I'm ready to learn and get started.

Carlson smiled. You will do great, Rita. We are here to support you every step of the way.

With that, Rita first day began, and she drove into the world of waiting tables with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Rita's first few days at the vintage-themed café were a whirlwind of learning and adjusting. She struggled to remember the menu, spilled drinks, and stumbled over her own feet. But with each passing day, she grew more confident and comfortable.

Carlson, her manager, was a patient mentor, offering words of encouragement and helpful tips. The other staff members, too, were supportive and friendly, making Rita fit as part of them.
