Donald looked at Dr. Les and asked, "Doctor, we can't track down X-24 for now. What should we do next?"
Dr. Les replied, "I have reported the situation regarding X-24 and asked the intelligence department to track it." Donald continued, "So, should we wait for the intelligence department's information and then go after X-24? Or should we deal with X-23 first?" After hearing this, Dr. Les took a deep breath and responded, "We don't know how long we'll have to wait for the intelligence department's information. Let's deal with X-23 first!" He added, "In addition, report to the company immediately and have them investigate Steve Rogers!"
Donald nodded, and Dr. Les instructed, "Let's go, continue heading north." Donald asked, "Isn't X-23 supposed to go to Eden?" Dr. Les confirmed, "We'll go there to find them!" Donald turned to the driver and said, "Let's go, head towards Eden." "Yes!" the driver responded. The car raced towards the north, heading towards the border.
Meanwhile, Noel's motorcycle was speeding towards a coastal city in the east. The two sides were heading in completely different directions. The night was as dark as ink. On a road leading to the northern border, there was silence. Only the rumbling sound of a car broke the stillness, highlighting the world's deep slumber. The car's headlights shone, trying to pierce the night's loneliness, but it was futile. The thick, unbreakable solitude flowed in this endless night.
In the car, the elderly Wolverine, covered in scars, was driving. His eyes were lifeless, devoid even of sorrow, staring blankly ahead into the darkness. In Wolverine's eyes, there was no glimmer of light because his last dear friend had also died. Beside him, in the passenger seat, was the bloodied X-23. Her eyes remained sharp and her face stubborn, but a hint of sadness lingered. In fact, X-23 was technically Wolverine's daughter, created using his genes.
X-23 looked at Wolverine and remained silent for a while. Then, she turned her head towards the darkness outside and said, "When you were fighting just now, I saw someone in the bushes." Wolverine stayed silent. X-23 continued, "Before Charles died, I heard his voice in my head. He said there was someone outside, without hostility. He said that person might be the key to changing the fate of mutants." X-23 paused. "In the bushes, it seemed like I saw him."
"Because in his eyes, there was no hostility towards us, just calmness." Upon hearing X-23 mention Charles, Wolverine fell silent. After a long while, he asked, "Charles, did he tell you who that person is?" X-23 replied, "Noel." A name fell into the rumbling and silent night, as if silently falling into the roaring tide of destiny.
Donald switched to the car sent by the company and rushed towards the border at high speed. In the end, they caught up with X-23 and the others before they crossed the border. Through a drone, they saw X-23 and the other mutant children walking through the forest. But Wolverine was not among them. Because X-23 and the others were planning to cross the border and go to a sanctuary in Canada. Wolverine had no intention of going, so when X-23 and the others left, they didn't wake the sleeping Wolverine.
Dr. Les saw X-23 and the others walking by and narrowed his eyes. "Finally found them, the X-23s," he muttered. Donald, looking at recent information sent by the company, remarked, "I just received information from the company. Captain America's whereabouts have disappeared recently. He has completely vanished from the public eye and concealed his whereabouts." Upon hearing Donald's words, Dr. Les sighed, "It seems that the person who took X-24 is no longer on the run—it's Rogers. He has hidden his identity and tracks." Dr. Les gritted his teeth slightly. "Continue investigating Rogers' whereabouts! As soon as he shows up, we'll go find him!" Donald nodded, "Okay!"
Dr. Les ordered, "Let's start by getting rid of those little ones!" "Yes!" Donald agreed. Immediately, he and the hired team got out of the car and rushed toward the little wolf girl and the others, attacking them with guns and bullets. Seeing the little wolf girl and the others in imminent danger, a temporarily revitalized beast rushed out from behind and charged towards the mercenaries with swift movements, like an arrow leaving the bow. Its steel claws easily pierced through the mercenaries' bulletproof vests and helmets. Soon, the mercenaries fell. Covered in blood, Wolverine caught up with the little wolf girl and the others, leading them toward the northern border.
This was Wolverine injected with Mutant serum. When leaving, the Mutant child left a bottle of green Mutant serum for Wolverine, temporarily stimulating his vitality and allowing him to save the little wolf girl and the others in time. Because of Noel's intervention, the clone did not enter this chase. Therefore, Wolverine did not encounter a formidable opponent he couldn't defeat, and this time, the old Wolverine did not die. He survived and took the little wolf girl and the others to a sanctuary in Canada. Before entering the tunnel at the border, Wolverine looked back at the world behind him and at his own hands. With a soft sound, Adamantium claws pierced out, and he murmured, "Perhaps I should continue to live, and maybe it's time to let go of these claws." After saying that, he turned around and led the little wolf girl and the other Mutant children into the tunnel, stepping into an unknown future.
In the car behind, Dr. Les watched Wolverine and the others leave, letting out a painful roar. He could have taken down these guys because he possessed the powerful weapon X-24! But unexpectedly, X-24 was intercepted halfway! "Damn it! It's all because of Rogers!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with deep-seated hatred etched into his heart.
On the road, a car was speeding with a motorcycle hanging on top of it. The driver was a man wearing a mask, his black eyes calm and steady. This person was Noel. He had stolen a gang member's car along the way, as riding a motorcycle with a bound person was too conspicuous. On his phone's browser, he was searching for the mastermind behind the Essex Group. After completing the search, he looked at the browser thoughtfully.
