Amongst the student, only one replied to the silence. "We are all going to die!" The others looked at her, telling her to shush. Minutes passed, the ground trembled intensely.
"You bastard-! Why did you- AH!" The centipede rised up into the ground, facing all the students. Students covered their mouth, trying to stop their scream.
The centipede stopped for a second, 'tick tock tick tock-' then it suddenly attacked harshly one of the students. 'Shit!'
"Quickly! Get rid of your smell-! Any smell would be fine as long it won't know where you are!" Leslie shouts to the other students as she buried herself onto the dirt. It was later then followed by Prince who also buried himself onto the dirt.
"What's your plan?" Leslie asked, the answered she got was only silence.
"Staying silent it is then."
The centipede screeched loudly as it later on destroyed the place, several students didn't make it and only a few survived. Prince signalled the others to stay silent as possible, waiting for it to leave.
Seconds turned to minutes, minutes turned to hours yet it still won't go away-! Prince attempted to discover its weakness, its skin is as hard as a shell then piercing it will do no damage, stomping it just like stomping a normal centipede will do no help either.
"Centipede can't stay on dry environment, they need to be moist to survive. We can just wait for it to die." Leslie glanced at Prince and thought for a moment.
"But this thing is big, it will take time for it to die. We will die of hunger before that thing die." Leslie questioned looking a bit uncertain, She was right. This centipede is big, meaning its survivality is different from an ordinary centipede.
But, its still a centipede. It can also die like an ordinary one. "Maybe not that long, This thing has been here for a while now." Prince stared at the centipede. Its movements began to slow and its body also shrunked. 'Its a sign of dehydration, this thing will die before us.'
"Well..." Before Prince was about to tell the reason, the centipede began to go feral, destroying everything that it can ruin. After it brawled the place, it scurried. Ensuing for the remaining survivors to become confused.
'Huh..? Wait a minute. Shit'
'Squawk-!!' That single call makes the ground shake, why did that centipede scurried? Perhaps something bigger is coming that makes it flee of fear. Centipedes natural predator, birds.
Flapping of wings could be heard, making the rocks fall out. "Watch out-!!" The ceilings of rocks started to fall, crushing one of the students who reacted slow.
In the fallen rocks, there in the sky, a giant bird was seen. Its heavy feathers rising up and down, red eyes and beaks that screeched. One was dealt and another appeared, maybe soon it will appear one another again.
'SQUAWK-!!!'
Prince looked above him, he looked at its position. It was preparing to attack. "Go-!"
All of them ran like crazy, panting and curses was the only sound that hovered he room. 'At this point, we are gonna get crushed to death-!' The ceilings shook like crazy as the bird striked the ground, destroying everything on its way. Prince who stumbled saw a gap on the destroyed wall, perceiving as an escape route.
"On the wall, behind the bird there is a gap!" Prince screamed at the top of its lungs, attentioning everyone including the bird. The bird fulled its attention to Prince, flapping its wings toward him.
"I will try to distract it-! Go now!" The students ran behind the bird, while Prince ran elsewhere to distract the bird. His silhouette began to disappear.
The students succesfully escaped the hole, Leslie, who is worried for Prince decided to stay on the hole where Prince is.
"Leslie... what about you..?" A student asked, genuinely worried for Leslie.
"Go send help!" Leslie bid her farewell and looked behind her, she couldn't find Prince anywhere. But she knew he was still alive somewhere.
"But-!"
"No buts! Fuck. I ain't letting him die. Indeed he saved us, but who's gonna save him. He has no time, if he kept running all day without the rescuers coming. He's gonna die for real.
The students outside looked hopelessly at Leslie, but they still escaped.
"Fuck where did he run of to..?" She cursed while walking steadily afraid she would encounter something.
Tap..
Tap..
Tap..
'Fuck, where the hell is he.'
Meanwhile....
Prince looked at his hand glowing, he moved his hand seemingly out of place. He then looked at the bird, staring and waiting for him to move.
What.
What...?
What the mother clucking world was happening-!!?
.
.
.
He was just running and running,he didn't know how close the bird got then he turned around. The bird was this close..?
'Shit. God please help.' He never knew why he called God, he was never that religious.
'Just this once oh God, help this helpless man.'
Shalala~....
'The fuck did that sound came from? Huh...?'
Huh-!?
His hand suddenly began to glow. Blinding the bird making it shriek again. Fuck. Did that actually work..? Wow, he should pray more often now. The bird shrieked when the light was shone into its direction, the more it shrieked the more the place shooked intensely.
Fucking scream once again you clucking monster then were both dead here. Have fun being crushed here with me-!
He stood there frozen in place, his eyes lost on the glow of his hand. He noticed that the glow slowly began to glow immensely-! He raised it for the bird to shriek and hide, it was blinding the bird but it wasn't blind him.
What was happening? He didn't know. He's going crazy, is his schizophrenia coming back? Fuck he never have one to begin with.
But... this seems to be the perfect time to flee-! Better luck next time you cluckling bird! Guess no meal for you-! Adios you cluck!
He flee far away, finally without some bird who chased him. He ran and ran, his breath began to falter. His movements slowed, now he sensed that someone was with him, without further ado. He shined his hand...
.
.
.
What..?
What the heck. He looked at his hand once more, there was no glow. 'Shit that was awkward.' He looked at his surroundings, he found nothing.
He slowly walked bit by bit, then bumped into something...
'Just my luck.'
