Chapter 32 Aragog: Obviously, I Am The Victim!

"Dumbledore, the fire is spreading!" Professor McGonagall looked serious. "We have to do something!"

This is Fiendfire! If it continues like this, even the castle will be affected!

"Okay!" Dumbledore nodded and took the Elder Wand. Suddenly, he transformed from a dying old man into a dying man with a wand. "All curses end!" The Fiendfire Curse has no counter-curse; it can only be dispelled by magic like "Curse Standing." "All Curses End" is an upgraded version of "Curse Standing," with high requirements for magical power. It is a powerful spell that normally requires many people to complete it together. At this moment, however, it was done by Dumbledore alone.

Powerful magic spread through the air. No, it wasn't just magic power; Kyle sensed something different under Dumbledore's spell. Perhaps this is why Dumbledore has been called the greatest White Wizard of the century, far more powerful than Snape and his ilk. The fiendish fire that had been raging was swallowed up by the tongue of fire, but was extinguished by the golden magic in an instant. All that remained was a large area of scorched land and hundreds of carbonized acromantula corpses.

"Alright, Aragog, come here too. We need to figure out what the hell is going on!" Dumbledore called out after finishing everything. There, Aragog was planning to fight back against Kyle with his prodigious descendants. However, the strength displayed by Dumbledore was like a basin of cold water, chilling his heart completely. Hearing this, Aragog had no choice but to crawl over with his old body.

"And you, Kyle, tell me what happened..." Dumbledore rubbed his forehead in distress. He couldn't figure it out! How could a child be so energetic? In the morning, the Transfiguration classroom and the Charms classroom were blown up, and Kyle researched a new type of potion in the afternoon. Now he came to set a fire in the Forbidden Forest instead of sleeping at night?

"Dumbledore, my children tell me..." Aragog began, full of grievances. It just stayed in its lair obediently, not provoking anyone, and now its home was set on fire with fierce flames! Where's the justice in this?

Before he could finish speaking, Kyle interrupted. "Professor, I want to file a complaint! Hogwarts is really too dangerous, truly! I was supposed to go back to the dormitory to sleep after dinner tonight! In the end, I was kidnapped to the Forbidden Forest!"

Kyle spoke persuasively and confidently, with evidence and even witnesses to support his claims. "The centaur friends I just met can testify for me that I was kidnapped by these spiders! Firenze, centaurs don't tell lies, do they?"

Firenze suddenly realized something and froze for a moment. Centaurs have a proud nature and cannot tell lies; they don't even bother to attempt one. The issue is that he had just agreed to whatever Kyle would say, which goes against his usual character. On one hand, there was friendship, and on the other, honesty. While contemplating this, Firenze suddenly realized something was amiss. Wait, wasn't Kyle asking him, "Do centaurs never lie?" Firenze responded seriously, "Yes, centaurs never lie!"

Kyle continued, "Then these fiery flames?" He added, "Professor, that's what I wanted to tell you! The spiders are actually playing with fire in the Forbidden Forest. It's too dangerous for us young wizards; it's a real safety hazard!" Kyle lied effortlessly, and Aragog, who was nearby, widened his eight eyes in shock. Aragog had spent decades in the Forbidden Forest, mostly interacting with Hagrid, the gentle giant. This was the first time he realized that someone could manipulate the truth so boldly. Obviously, the spiders were the victims, not the ones playing with fire!

Despite the situation, Kyle persisted, demanding, "Compensation! I demand that these acromantids compensate me, Professor!" He ignored Aragog, thinking he couldn't leave with nothing. The Fierce Fire Curse earlier had consumed a lot of his energy. Dumbledore skeptically asked, "Okay, tell me about your conditions. I think Aragog will agree."

Although it had only been a day and a half since Dumbledore started dealing with Kyle, he already discerned the pattern in this young wizard's words. Though he only believed a few symbolic punctuation marks, keeping some semblance of trust between them, he suspected that if Hogwarts Castle were ever sold, he might be tricked into counting the money! The acromantula family had been in the Forbidden Forest for so long that they had indeed become an unstable factor affecting Hogwarts' safety. Aragog was getting old, and if he died, these spiders might become uncontrollable. It seemed like a good opportunity to address the issue.
