Chapter 50: The Story Begins
Almost a week had passed since she was approved by Antiope. During this period, Diana often came to visit. Initially, it was Norton who would seek her out to teach, but now she took the initiative to find him. Norton often talked about interesting things from the outside world with Diana, though he wasn't sure which era this human world was from. There are two versions of Wonder Woman's origin: the first is set during World War I as in the movie, and the second is in the modern era, with her stepping into contemporary society.
Norton decided not to reveal any specific details and instead shared common knowledge. The days passed in this manner. During this time, Norton received a task from the system—to stop Ares and help Diana. Instead of a random reward, he was offered 25% mastery of the Space Gem. This changed his original plan of staying on Paradise Island to study the Space Gem in peace.
Norton went to the shore to enjoy the sea breeze, a habit he'd picked up on Paradise Island. He had customized a training plan for Diana, so he sneaked off to the shore to see if the plot had started. The primary reason was to avoid the women who incessantly asked the man about various issues, like big aunts.
"Huh?" Norton squinted against the sun when he suddenly saw waves rising from the magic barrier of Paradise Island. A fighter jet emerged and fell with black smoke trailing behind it. Recognizing the propeller fighter jet, Norton confirmed the timeline was set during World War I.
Without hesitation, Norton jumped into the sea, swimming at an astonishing speed towards the crash site. As he approached, he saw Steve, a soldier from an unfamiliar country, staring at him. The plea for help in Steve's eyes was obvious. Norton tore off the safety belt, rescuing Steve, who immediately swam upwards.
"Pfft! Phew!" Steve gasped for air, looking at Norton gratefully. "Thank you, sir."
"Let's head back to the shore; it's not good to stay in the water too long."
Once ashore, Steve sat down weakly and noticed Norton's ancient Greek-style attire. "Mr. Yuan, what is this place?"
"This is Paradise Island—" Norton began before the sound of horses interrupted him. Antiope was leading the Amazons on horseback toward them.
"Wow, this truly is heaven," Steve said, awestruck. In his time, no women dressed as revealingly as the Amazon warriors, whose thighs and arms were on full display.
Norton glanced at him, anticipating that he would soon regret those words—they were not friendly to outsiders. It was only due to Norton's strength that they begrudgingly accepted him.
Diana also followed. She walked up to Norton and looked him up and down. She was relieved when she saw that he was not injured. "It seems that Your Excellency has caught the intruder," Antiope smiled and approached Norton.
"What? What intruder?" But in the next second, Steve quickly raised his hands, because those Amazon female warriors were already pointing at him with their longbows. "Ooooh! Calm down ladies!"
This isn't heaven, it's hell, Steve thought wryly. The situation changed again, and the magic barrier in the distance made waves again, and a group of German troops with guns appeared from it. "Beautiful ladies, they are bad! I am good!"
"Shut up!" Antiope yelled at Steve, who obediently shut his mouth. Antiope looked at Norton and said, "Are they what you call the outside army?"
"That's right, and the gun barrels in their hands are not vegetarian. You stand back and let me solve it." As soon as Norton grabbed it, the kabuto insect instrument appeared in his hand, and on the other hand, a green light flashed, revealing the insect instrument beyond.
"Hen Shin!"
After a set of smooth operations, kabuto appeared in front of everyone in its transcendent form. A white light flashed in the sky, and the perfect insect instrument fell into Norton's hands. The four insect instruments flew and jumped, automatically installed on the perfect insect instrument.
Norton didn't want to waste time. For these miscellaneous soldiers, he just wanted to go there with a map gun and settle the matter. After all, Paradise Island is responsible for his basic necessities, food, housing, and transportation, so it's embarrassing not to do anything. He switched the perfect insect instrument to gun mode, pointed the muzzle at the invading German army, and put his fingers on the buttons of different colors.

The German army only saw the figure of the island and a burst of white light, and they were directly engulfed by the energy wave, which finally stopped on a reef, generating huge explosion flames. "Oh my god..." Steve stared blankly; the person who saved his life in front of him turned out to be a humanoid bomber.
