Chapter 32 - Overwhelm

The battle at the center of the battlefield was like a thunderstorm, shaking everything around.

Ares wielded his spear, his armor shining like raging fire. Each of his attacks was filled with boundless violence and fury.

Facing Musashi Miyamoto, the human-weapon spirit known for his swordsmanship, Ares showed no fear. He roared and activated his skill, [Fury of Violence], his aura spiking dramatically as spiritual energy surged like a tidal wave. The entire battlefield trembled under the force.

"Two-sword style!"

Musashi Miyamoto muttered those three words, and his figure instantly became a blur. His two blades flashed like a gust of wind, each strike faster than lightning. The sword light and spear shadows intertwined, creating dazzling sparks in the air. The clash between them caused the surrounding air to destabilize, and the ground beneath them cracked open in deep fissures.

Ares roared, swinging his spear with immense force. The gathered spiritual energy exploded into a devastating attack. "Spear of Destruction!"

The energy condensed in his spear erupted as a blazing beam of light, aimed directly at Musashi Miyamoto. Musashi crossed his blades in front of his chest, barely managing to block the attack. Despite this, he was still pushed back several meters, his face paling slightly.

On the other side, Vilk's battle with Fukuda Masaru had also reached a fever pitch.

Fukuda gritted his teeth, attacking fiercely with both hands gripping his sword, but Vilk's spiritual spear was swift and agile. Each strike was precise, often parrying Fukuda's attacks at the crucial moments. The sound of metal clashing rang through the air as sparks flew from the strikes.

"Is that all you've got?" Vilk sneered, thrusting his spear fiercely. Spiritual energy surged like a flood, forcing Fukuda to retreat step by step.

"Damn!" Fukuda growled, attempting to adjust his stance and counterattack, but Vilk gave him no breathing room. With a flick of his wrist, his spear became a blur, striking three times in quick succession, each strike effectively trapping Fukuda's movements.

Meanwhile, Jay charged directly toward the two Celestial King members who were setting up the formation. His speed was unmatched, the Scorching Sky Halberd in hand, spiritual energy erupting like a wild dragon. He shouted, "[Earth Fire Technique]!"

The ground began to tremble, and fiery red flames erupted from beneath the earth, rushing straight toward the two formation setters.

One of them, seeing this, turned pale, but quickly gritted his teeth and shouted, "Don't underestimate me!" He summoned his spirit—an enormous fire eagle. The eagle spread its wings, which blazed like flames, sending a scorching heat wave toward Jay.

"Fire Eagle, go!" the man yelled.

The fire eagle let out a sharp cry, its fiery claws aiming straight at Jay. However, Jay wasn't afraid in the slightest. He snorted and formed a hand gesture with his left hand, activating the [Thunder Flash Spell]. A bolt of lightning suddenly struck from the sky, hitting the fire eagle with pinpoint accuracy, completely halting its movements.

As the fire eagle struggled to break free from the lightning, Jay swung the Scorching Sky Halberd in his right hand and cast [Earth Fire Technique] again. Fiery flames surged like a tidal wave, engulfing the eagle entirely. The fire eagle, caught between the flames and the lightning, let out a mournful cry before crashing to the ground.

"Is this all you've got?" Jay coldly looked at the summoner, stepping forward with the Scorching Sky Halberd pointed directly at his chest.

The summoner's eyes widened in fear as he stepped back, his voice trembling. "You... you're a monster!"

"A monster?" Jay chuckled lightly. "Today, you Celestial King will learn what true power is!"

Musashi Miyamoto's twin swords danced in the air, their blade light flashing like lightning, fast and sharp. His [Two-Sword Style] was a continuous series of slashes, like meteors streaking across the sky, each one carrying an unstoppable speed and force. Every strike aimed directly at Ares's vital spots, but Ares remained unshaken. He let out a cold laugh, and his aura suddenly surged.

"A mere human weapon spirit dares to act so arrogantly!" Ares roared, his entire body swelling with energy, spiritual power flooding like a torrent. He swung his spear violently, sweeping across, while activating his skill [Heaven's Slaughter]!

A dazzling, enormous spear of light shot towards Musashi Miyamoto, bringing with it an overwhelming aura of destruction. Musashi, seeing the danger, swiftly blocked with his blades, but the force of [Heaven's Slaughter] exceeded his expectations, shattering the defense of his twin swords.

At that moment, Ares followed up with another strike, [Spear of Destruction], a barrage of attacks like a violent storm, hitting Musashi's chest and sending him flying. Blood sprayed from his wounds.

Musashi screamed in pain, his twin swords falling to the ground as he crashed heavily, his spiritual energy dissipating instantly. Ares stepped forward, looking down coldly at the fallen Musashi and snorted, "It's over."

Meanwhile, Vilk's battle with Fukuda Masaru was also reaching its climax.

Fukuda's face twisted in fury as he wielded his large sword, attacking with fiery rage. Each slash carried a chilling sharpness, but Vilk's spiritual spear was nimble and fast. Every dodge and counterattack forced Fukuda's strikes to miss their mark.

"Do you really think you can defeat me with such power?" Vilk sneered, thrusting his spear swiftly, pushing Fukuda back in an instant.

Fukuda roared, swinging his sword in retaliation, but Vilk had already seen through his intentions. The spear shot forward like lightning, piercing through Fukuda's defense. Fukuda's face changed, and he staggered back, filled with frustration and anger.

"I'm not here to die for you!" Vilk's eyes turned cold, and suddenly, he launched a full-powered strike, the spear thrusting with tremendous force into Fukuda's chest. Fukuda coughed up blood, collapsing to the ground, unable to resist any longer.

Jay didn't give the two Celestial King members any chance to breathe. Seeing their summoned fire eagle destroyed by the lightning, his eyes were as sharp as a blade as he quickly adjusted his target and unleashed an even more lethal attack.

"Your guardian spirits are nothing special!" Jay sneered coldly, waving the Scorching Sky Halberd lightly, his body flying forward like a flame, rapidly closing in on the two enemies.

As he gathered energy for [Earth Fire Technique], the ground suddenly cracked open, massive pillars of fire erupted from the earth, shooting towards the sky. The force of the flames put the two enemies in immediate danger. They barely managed to dodge the pillars, but they were still scorched, gasping for breath.

Before they could react, Jay activated [Thunder Flash Spell]. In an instant, lightning in the form of a massive dragon descended from the sky, hitting them precisely. The electric current surged through their bodies, leaving them paralyzed and immobile.

"Is this your strength?" Jay's gaze turned cold, a sneer on his lips. He swung the Scorching Sky Halberd again, smashing it into one of the enemies' chests. The man let out a painful scream, his spiritual energy suppressed completely, collapsing to the ground, unable to fight back.

Watching from a distance, Sheila slightly furrowed her brows, a glimmer of awe flashing in her eyes. She hadn't expected Jay, Vilk, and Ares to be so powerful, especially Jay. His combination of lightning and fire techniques in battle was simply breathtaking.

In her mind, she thought, "Impressive. Truly strong combat power. I didn't expect the Celestial King's forces to be so weak." She looked around the battlefield, realizing the battle was nearly over. The Celestial King's forces were almost all heavily injured or defeated, and it was clear they no longer had the ability to fight back.

"However..." Sheila's gaze deepened. "It seems the Celestial King's main force hasn't appeared yet?"

Jay and the others did not relax. They all knew that this battle was just the beginning, and the true strength of the Celestial King had yet to fully reveal itself.
