The intense battle continued, and the scene grew increasingly heated.
Adam leaped into the air, his hands gripping the void tightly. A giant sword, radiating golden-green light, appeared in his hands, its blade seemingly imbued with boundless vitality.
"Sword of Eden!" Adam roared, slashing the blade downward. The sword's edge transformed into a powerful beam of light, splitting the sky as it surged toward Ghostfire Bear.
The bear let out a deep growl as its claws ignited with ghostly blue flames. Simultaneously, Hayes shouted, "Phantom Fire Claw! Attack!"
Ghostfire Bear swung its claws violently, the flames forming a blazing arc that clashed head-on with the light of the Eden Sword. A deafening explosion erupted, sending shockwaves that uprooted trees around them. Fire and light intertwined, illuminating the battlefield in a dazzling brilliance.
Standing nearby, Vilk quickly raised his spirit lance. A translucent shield expanded in front of him, enveloping both Adam and himself: "Spiritual Shield!"
"Boom!" The explosion's shockwave collided with the shield. Vilk gritted his teeth, cold sweat dripping from his forehead, but the shield held firm, successfully blocking the aftermath of the Ghostfire Bear's attack.
Adam steadied himself and cast a cold gaze at Hayes. "So, this is all your guardian spirit can muster?"
Hayes' expression faltered briefly, but he gritted his teeth in defiance. Glancing at the Ghostfire Bear, he sneered, "Impressive strength for a human weapon spirit, but don't think that will make me surrender!"
The Ghostfire Bear growled low, its flaming paws striking the ground. Ghostly blue flames erupted once more, scorching the earth black. Hayes leaped onto the bear's back, roaring, "Phantom Fire Claw: Barrage!"
The bear unleashed a flurry of claw strikes, the fiery blue trails sweeping toward Vilk and Adam like a relentless storm.
"Is that all?" Vilk sneered, his spirit lance darting through the air like a serpent, deflecting most of the attacks. However, the bear's speed intensified, and its flames grew stronger. Cracks began to form in Wilke's spiritual shield.
"Adam, move now!" Vilk shouted through clenched teeth.
Adam snorted, the golden-green light erupting from him once more. He drove the Sword of Eden into the ground, his aura surging explosively: "Primal Surge!"
A wave of intense life energy radiated from Adam's position, forcing Ghostfire Bear back several steps. The flames enveloping its body dimmed slightly.
"Damn it!" Hayes cursed under his breath, sweat beading on his forehead as he sensed his disadvantage growing. Yet, he refused to back down.
Ghostfire Bear growled, its eyes reflecting unwavering determination. It seemed unwilling to let its master fall. Hayes looked at the bear and murmured, "I'm sorry, partner, but it seems we're…"
Vilk coldly interrupted, "Give up. You can't stop us."
Hayes raised his head and forced a bitter smile. "You really live up to the name of a human weapon spirit. Your power rivals even some divine weapon spirits. Perhaps… I'm not your match after all."
The Ghostfire Bear panted, its aura waning, yet it stood firm, guarding Hayes with a fierce glint in its eyes.
The atmosphere grew increasingly heavy, dark energy permeating the air and intensifying the oppressive tension.
Vilk glared coldly at Hayes across from him. His spirit lance emitted a faint tremor, resonating with its master's brewing fury.
"A fallen human like you—what right do you have to act so arrogantly here?" Vilk
shouted, his spiritual energy erupting violently. "Let me send you to your final rest!"
Hayes smirked, a touch of madness in his expression, though his eyes were filled with bitterness. "Rest? You so-called champions of justice are nothing more than foolish puppets! My master will show you the true meaning of fear!"
As his words faded, Ghostfire Bear's eyes flared with an intense purple-black glow. Its entire body ignited with strange flames, transforming it into a beast seemingly from the depths of hell.
"Phantom Fire Breath!" Hayes roared. Ghostfire Bear let out an earth-shaking howl, opening its massive jaws to unleash a torrent of searing purple-black flames. The inferno surged forward like a volcanic eruption, consuming everything in its path.
Vilk's eyes sharpened. His spirit lance radiated light, rapidly forming a protective barrier in front of him: "Spirit Shield!"
"Adam, now!" Vilk bellowed.
Adam immediately raised the Sword of Eden, his entire body erupting with golden-green energy. Leaping high into the air, he raised the blade as a towering spectral figure materialized behind him, embodying the forces of life and destruction: "Primal Surge!"
A storm of golden-green energy surged forward, colliding with the Phantom Fire Breath.
Boom!
The two forces clashed in midair, the resulting explosion leveling the surrounding area. Ghostfire Bear's flames were gradually suppressed, but it refused to yield, slamming its claws into the ground in a desperate attempt to regain the upper hand.
"Not a chance!" Vilk sneered. His spirit lance transformed into a sharp beam of light, driving directly toward Ghostfire Bear's chest: "Spirit Lance Thrust!"
The lance pierced the bear's chest, its form shuddering violently. The flames dimmed as it let out a pained roar, its body fading into an ethereal shadow.
Hayes fell to his knees, laughing maniacally as his voice echoed with despair and madness. "Hahaha! Even if my guardian spirit falls, my master won't let you succeed! Vilk, I'll see you in hell!"
Ghostfire Bear's body dissolved into faint light, vanishing into the air.
Vilk stood motionless, his gaze fixed on Hayes without a shred of mercy. Retracting his lance, he spoke with icy disdain. "Hell? You're not even worthy of the word. The fate of the fallen is only destruction."
With a swift strike, Vilk pierced Hayes through the chest. Hayes' body crumpled to the ground, his final laughter lingering in the air—a twisted echo of madness and regret.
Adam walked over to Vilk, planting the Sword of Eden back into the ground. In a low voice, he said, "Let's go. Jay must be in even greater danger."
Vilk nodded silently, sparing not a glance at Hayes' lifeless form. The two turned and sprinted toward jay's location without hesitation.
The atmosphere in the hall was oppressively heavy, a blend of blood and spiritual energy lingering in the air, each breath carrying a bone-chilling edge.
Boshun stood coldly before Jay and Ares, his gaze devoid of any emotion. His voice was as icy and merciless as the depths of an abyss:
"How does it feel? Have you realized the futility yet? Look closely—no matter how much you struggle, in my eyes, it's nothing but meaningless resistance."
His tone was slow and taunting, savoring the pain in Jay's struggle. Lowering his head slightly, he continued, his words carrying a patronizing air:
"Why not embrace release? I can make the pain end much quicker."
Jay's chest rose and fell rapidly, his forehead drenched in cold sweat. Blood seeped from numerous wounds on his body, and his spiritual energy was nearly depleted. Yet, his eyes remained unwavering, filled with defiance. Clenching his teeth, he roared:
"Shut up! Ares, let's go!"
Ares roared in unison, his body radiating a surging battle spirit as his spear shimmered with the glow of destruction. He stomped the ground forcefully, propelling himself toward Boshun with a thunderous shout: "Spear of Destruction!"
The spear's radiant energy streaked forward like a golden comet, aimed directly at Boshun. However, Boshun merely snorted in disdain, raising a single hand to effortlessly block the attack. A massive shadowy figure loomed behind him as he coldly remarked, "Such persistence."
Jay seized the opportunity, weaving a spell with his hands as spiritual energy surged from his fingertips, forming a bolt of lightning that streaked toward Boshun: "Thunderflash Curse!"
The lightning bolt tore through the air, unleashing a blinding flash and a deafening roar as it surged toward Boshun's heart.
Boshun frowned slightly, waving his hand to summon a massive wave of purple-black energy: "Dragon Wave of Despair."
The destructive energy wave collided with the lightning bolt, shredding it apart effortlessly. The residual force surged forward, heading straight for Jay.
"Damn it!" Jay cursed, realizing he couldn't dodge in time. Just as the attack was about to strike, Ares leapt in front of him, transforming his spear into a massive shield to block the blow: "Guardian of the War God!"
The Dragon Wave crashed into Ares' defense with immense force, pushing him backward as cracks spread across the marble floor beneath his feet. His body trembled slightly, and a faint crack appeared on his spear.
"Hah…" Ares exhaled deeply, sweat beading on his forehead, but he gritted his teeth and held firm. Turning to Jay, he muttered, "Jay, we need a plan. My defense won't hold for long."
Jay nodded, quickly steadying his breathing and channeling the last of his spiritual energy. His mind raced as he sought a way to turn the tide.
Boshun watched their struggle with a faint sneer, his voice dripping with scorn: "Even a Divine Spirit is this pathetic. Your so-called power is nothing more than the futile defiance of ants in my eyes."
As he spoke, he slowly raised his hand again, the shadowy figure behind him growing more distinct. A purple-black glow coalesced in his palm, ready to unleash another devastating attack at any moment.
Despite this, Jay and Ares refused to back down, their eyes brimming with unyielding determination and battle spirit.
"Ares!" Jay called out firmly. "This next strike—we'll give it everything we've got!"
Ares nodded slightly, gripping his spear tightly as golden-red light enveloped his body. The aura of the War God intensified, blazing with overwhelming power.
Boshun gazed at them coldly, a trace of mocking amusement in his eyes. "How stubborn. But no matter how hard you try, the outcome will not change."
