'Disgust I don't understand I'm a human too?'
Looking up André realized that they were speaking. Clearing his mind of unnecessary thoughts he listened.
"Kill the beast!"
"There is a pitiful little creature hiding from the beast."
"Capture it as a slave."
'Pitiful creature? Who are they calling pitiful!'
'Wait slave!?'
"Argh why do I keep on waking up with a headache!"
Standing up to analyze the situation André noticed a couple of striking details. First he was captured and caged. Second he seemed to be in a human settlement a small town? He did not know. And the last detail he noticed was that he was not human.
He had not realised before because of his confusion and need to survive but André seemed to be a grey goblin a weak one at that.
"Since I'm stuck here I need to think of a way to escape this hellhole and beat my trial."
'I can easily escape right now but those guys were able to kill the Mad Ogre. How am I supposed to get through them.'
"I really need to find a weapon..."
Several hours later André finally moved. He used his Might to escape the cage and started to explore. There were still guards but that was manageable.
Finally after several hours of exploring he found something, a strange room, there was nothing weird about it but he felt something.
"Maybe because of my affinity to fate?"
Walking up to the door André was about to open it when he heard a loud thud.
Cursing under his breath he hid in the shadows and escaped.
"I have to sneak into that room it gives me to much of a weird feeling."
That night André could bearly sleep.
BANG BANG BANG
"Wake up scum!"
André got up slowly and timidly walked over.
"MOVE IT! ON YOUR FEET CREATURE!"
'Im killing you first mark my word.'
Walking in a straight line with other slaves infront of him he noticed that there were humans slaves as well as other monsters.
André and the other slaves were tending to the needs of the tribe. He found that they call them selves The Children Of Klarnackt.
'Whoever that is.'
They were a nomadic tribe that are somehow able to move an entire city throughout the massive mountain at night, trough magic or the power of a god André did not know. And they captured weaker monsters and people of different tribes as slaves. They also seem to have possessed superhuman strength but weak defenses.
Looking at the shriveled slave next to him André said.
"Yo, what year is it? And where are we exactly?"
The slave looked at him with a strange expression and said.
"What's your problem kid? Asking stupid questions like that. We are on the great Mountain of Klarnackt!"
"Ok but i have no idea what that means. And are you not surprised that a grey goblin is talking to you?"
"Well it's not uncommon grey goblins are known to be very weak and pitiful but highly intelligent."
"Pitiful! Who you calling pitiful!"
"I've got a better question old man! Why the fuck was I captured!?"
"We are offerings to Klarnackt."
'Offerings to Klarnackt?'
'This is bad. I need to escape and quick.'
"Is there any way of escape?"
"No."
With that André had nothing more to say all he could do was get back to work. And so work he did.
'Ok it's finally time to go check out that door. But before that.'
Standing infront of the door with defiance written on his face André was ready. Of course he was ready he even took time to find a makeshift dagger and black cloth he used as a hood.
'I've been waiting to open this damned door.'
André walked in, the air was suffocating and yet he wanted no needed to find out what was hiding behind.
André was staring with dumbfounded expression at the simple room. In fact there was nothing to see just a desk and a book shelf. But this changes everything he can learn! Knowledge is the source of power after all!
Grabbing the first book he could see he read the title.
'Klarnackt's Kingdom.'
The first page reads.
The Kingdom of Klarnackt is the embodiment of our Lord and Saviors Might. Our Kingdom is forever moving in the night and consumes the Mountain. Klarnackt gave us the power to thrive but that was at a cost Klarnackt needed blood. Alot of blood because Klarnackt is the the the Lord Of Blood.
"This is great. I really hope I won't have to meet this guy."
'So Klarnackt is not a deity just a Lord. The mountain is under his command because of the moving city. Interesting way to conquer but it clearly works. And Klarnackt needs blood, for what I don't know.'
"Let's find out then."
But before he could the strange symbols of the system popped up infront of him.
[You have received an equipment.]
"Wait how?"
Of course the system did not respond.
