The day began like any other for
. She had gone out to buy
groceries despite the heavy weight
of her pregnancy. She was used to
being stared at and whispered
about, but today was different.
As she walked through an alleyway
on her way home, a group of four
boys blocked her path. They were
older, about 18, and their sneering
faces made her heart race.
"Well, well, look who it is," one of
them said mockingly. "The girl who
couldn't keep her legs closed."
Grace's cheeks flushed with
humiliation. "Leave me alone," she
said quietly, clutching her bag
tightly.Another boy laughed and stepped
closer. "What's the matter? Don't like
the truth?"
Before she could respond, one of
them shoved her against the wall,
causing her to cry out.
"You don't deserve to walk around
like everything's fine," another said.
They continued to taunt her, their
words cutting deep. One even kicke
her bag of groceries, spilling its
contents onto the ground. Grace
tried to defend herself, but they
pushed her again, their laughter
ringing in her ears.By the time Grace made it home,
tears streaming down her face, Felix
was already there. He was sitting at
the dining table, flipping through a
book, when she walked in.
He immediately noticed her red eyes
and the trembling in her hands.
"What happened ?" he demanded,
standing up.
Grace shook her head, trying to hold
back her sobs. "It's nothing. Just
Some boys.."
Felix's eyes darkened. "Some boys?
What did they do to you?"
"They.. they called me names and
shoved me," Grace admitted, her
voice breaking.Felix's fists clenched, his entire body
radiating anger. "Where?"
Grace hesitated. "Felix, it's not worth
it-"
"Where did they do it?" he
demanded, his voice dangerously
low.
Grace finally gave him the location,
and without another word, Felix
grabbed a stick from behind the
door and stormed out.
Felix found the boys lounging in the
same alleyway where they had
attacked Grace. They were laughing
and joking, completely unaware of
the storm headed their way.
"Hey!" Felix's voice boomed, freezing
them in place.
The boys turned to see him
approaching, his expression
murderous and the stick gripped
tightly in his hand.
"You think it's funny to hurt a
defenseless girl?" Felix growled, his
voice low and threatening.
One of the boys smirked. "What's it
to you?"Felix didn't bother with more words.
He swung the stick, aiming for the
leader, who barely had timne to
dodge. The others tried to scatter,
but Felix was too fast.
The stick connected with one boy's
arm, and he screamed iin pain. Felix
didn't stop, his anger driving every
strike. "You think you can hurt my
sister and get away with it?" he
shouted.
Another boy tried to fight back, but
Felix caught him with a blow to the
leg, sending him to the ground. The
others begged for mercy, but Felix's
fury was unstoppable.
By the time he was done, all four
boys were bruised and bleeding,
their faces marked with cuts and
welts."Remember this" Felix said coldly,
his voice steady despite the chaos
around him. "If you ever come near
my sister again, I won't let you off
so easily."
The boys scrambled to their feet and
ran, leaving behind a trail of blood
and groans. When Felix returned home, Grace
was waiting for him. Her eyes
widened when she saw the stick in
his hand, now stained with blood.
"Felix, what did you do?" she asked,
her voice trembling.
Felix dropped the stick by the door
and sat down, his breathing heavy.
made sure they'll think twice before
touching you again."
Tears filled Grace's eyes, but this
time, they were tears of gratitude.
"Thank you," she whispered.
Felix didn't respond. He simply
leaned back in his chair, his usual
coldness returning. But for Grace,
his actions spoke louder than any
Words ever could.Lisa had seen Felix leave the house
in a rage and couldn't help but be
Curious. When he returned, his shirt
slightly torn and his knuckles
bruised, she didn't dare ask what
had happened.
But as she watched him from the
kitchen, something shifted inside
her. Beneath his harsh exterior, Felix
cared deeply for his family. It was a
side of him she hadn't seen before,
and it made her feelings even more
complicated.
