Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: The Beating

In the original work, the General Blue could go toe-to-toe with Krillin after he had trained under Master Roshi. After using his paralyzing superpower, he even beat Krillin to a pulp.

At that time, Krillin had participated in the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament. His combat power, although not as strong as his Saiyan friend, Goku, was certainly no slouch. Goku was able to match Master Roshi (Jackie Chun) with a battle power over 130. Though he eventually lost to the Kamehameha, his combat power was undeniably in the 100+ range. So, it made sense that Krillin would have a battle power around 80 to 90.

Even with the General Blue's superpower, Krillin couldn't break free with sheer strength!

Yamiru looked at his own slender arms and legs, realizing that he probably wasn't strong enough to withstand the General Blue's power, especially when the General used his abilities. No matter how many times stronger he got, it would be useless.

The General Blue's ability worked through eye contact, making it impossible to dodge. That's why Yamiru told Tonpo that running was probably out of the question.

Blue chuckled softly, "You don't need to worry about me, Boy. After tonight, I'll be leaving this place. Even if the people here find out that I've been working with the Red Ribbon Army, so what? By then, I'll be part of the Red Ribbon Army myself. As for you, don't be so tense. I just want to play with you a little, I won't bite you, hehe." He even licked his lips as he spoke.

Yamiru kept his face neutral, though internally, he was fuming. Blue's gaze made him feel uncomfortable all over.

What do I do? To be treated as prey by a powerful, effeminate man... And this man is planning to run off and join a terrorist group...

Damn, this doesn't look good. This could get really bad! Yamiru felt his stomach sink even further.

He wasn't the type of excellent reincarnator who could quickly assess the situation with a snap of the fingers. Back in his past life, even solving a math problem would take him a long time to draft and recheck the questions! At this moment, he finally realized the full extent of the trouble: oh no, this might not just end with a beating—he could be dragged to the Red Ribbon Army's base and... No, no, no, he couldn't think about that! Words like R\* were just too awful to even consider!

"Hey! Hey! Why are you shaking too?" Tonpo, hiding tightly behind Yamiru, noticed that his back muscles were tense, as if he had suddenly gotten super nervous.

"Hehe... I suggest you not scream or shout," Blue said as he walked over casually. "If you do, I'll immediately use my powers to control you. Unless absolutely necessary, I prefer to handle things elegantly."

The Red Ribbon Army members followed behind, but none of them had weapons drawn—they had full confidence in Blue's abilities.

Yamiru began to carefully step backward, pushing Tonpo with him.

"Tonpo, this concerns my lifelong reputation, so listen carefully." Yamiru said quietly, but with serious intent to the pig-headed boy behind him.

"Huh?" Tonpo was feeling nervous.

"If the situation turns bad later, you do this and that..." Yamiru spoke rapidly, giving instructions.

Just as his peripheral vision caught sight of Blue approaching and reaching for him, Yamiru stopped mid-sentence. With a swift move, he sidestepped, but in his hasty attempt, his footwork became uncoordinated, and he almost tripped. He managed to steady himself, but during the fall, his hand grazed the ground and clenched into a fist.

"Did you get that? Stupid pig-head!" Yamiru glared at Tonpo, who looked terrified.

"Why don't you try hitting first? What if you can actually beat him?" Tonpo backed away, just as the leopard-headed man started to approach them with his fists clenched.

Yamiru quickly looked around the ground, grabbed a stone, and hurled it at the leopard-headed man, sneering, "What kind of coward picks on a pig? Or are you so lackluster that you don't trust your boss and think he'll lose to me?"

"You!" The leopard-headed man was hit on the head and seethed with rage. "What coward? I'm a leopard! I'm a big cat! Do you even have any culture?"

"Tch," Yamiru scoffed at the leopard-head, while pretending to exchange tactical signals with Tonpo, who looked even more terrified. The next second, Yamiru sprang forward with a kick aimed at Blue's face.

"A classic feint, huh?"

As Yamiru had feared, Blue, even though he hadn't yet become the formidable General Blue, was still more powerful than Yamiru at this stage. He easily sidestepped Yamiru's flying kick, then swiftly grabbed his ankle with both hands. With his strong physique, Blue hoisted Yamiru upside down with ease.

"But, you really don't seem to have much experience in actual combat," Blue said, smirking as he looked down at Yamiru, hanging upside down. "You rush in with a kick, hoping to knock me out with one blow, but all you do is deliver yourself right into my hands. Like this, for instance, you're already being knocked out."

"Let go of me! Let go..." Yamiru's ankle was crushed painfully, and being upside down, he could feel blood rushing to his head. He struggled, but the fist he had clenched on the ground earlier loosened, sending a cloud of dust and dirt flying straight into Blue's face and clothes. Thud! Almost simultaneously, Yamiru's head hit the ground, and Blue released his ankle.

"Ugh, how filthy!" Blue jumped back a step, angrily brushing the dust off his clothes. Some dirt even got into his eyes, causing visible discomfort.

A Red Ribbon Army members stood nearby, chatting lazily. "Stop stalling, Blue. If someone hears the noise, we're in trouble."

"You are just cannon fodder. Don't give me orders!" Blue shot a cold glare at the Red Ribbon members, then turned back to Yamiru with a scowl. "You've really pissed me off…"

"Heh... I'm really glad to make you angry..." Yamiru said, his smile bitter and forced.

The next moment, Blue's eyes gleamed with visible intensity, sharp and piercing! In an instant, Yamiru realized he could no longer control his own body.

"So this is... the same power that Krillin and Goku couldn't escape from..." Yamiru thought, realizing that now, facing this effeminate man with his paralyzing abilities, there was no escaping.

But it wasn't until this feeling of utter immobility settled upon him that Yamiru truly understood how powerless it was.

And how enraging it was.

"Heh..." Blue let out a satisfied breath after using his ability, running his fingers through his golden hair and casually walking toward Yamiru.

At this moment, Yamiru felt as though he had been encased in a solid, transparent cement pillar—no matter how much he strained, not a single millimeter of movement was possible. Even the angle and curvature of his fingers remained completely unchanged.

As Blue drew closer, Yamiru's breathing grew heavier, even trembling. His chest heaved, but Blue's paralyzing power forced his breath to a halt. Anger built up in Yamiru's chest, stuck in his lungs, unable to escape, compressing into a heavy ball of fire that rolled into his heart, burning him from the inside.

This helpless feeling... It was so infuriating!

At this point, Yamiru felt as if he had been sleepwalking for the past five months. He hadn't truly crossed over yet. Even though his body had arrived on the Dragon Ball Earth, his mind was still on the Earth of his previous life. He had been lost in his self-imagined world, on the verge of drowning. The physical improvements he had after the crossover weren't like a golden finger, but more like a sweet poison, simmering him slowly like a frog in warm water. If he had come with a weaker body, struggling even to eat, maybe he would have awakened the courage and determination to toughen himself up from the obstacles he faced. Instead, here he was, unable to move even an inch, painfully realizing how frustrating and helpless weakness truly was.

"You look quite good when you're angry," Blue said as he stood in front of Yamiru, a mischievous smile on his lips.

"Die... Asshole..." Yamiru's eyes shifted, and the golden hue in them became more dazzling, his anger flaring. He squeezed the words out through his gritted teeth. "Die... scum..."

Was he referring to Blue in front of him, or was he also speaking of himself over the past five months, and the helplessness he had felt?

"Your eyes..." Blue was about to comment in surprise when suddenly a sweet voice approached from behind: "Take this! White Meat Attack!"

Blue spun around, only to see a naked, alluring woman lunging toward him.
