Blue's eyes scanned the cold, grey walls of the Alpha Territory. He had never seen a place like this before. The air was thick with the smell of sweat and something else... something disgusting.
At 10 years old, Blue was still trying to wrap his head around his new reality. Just yesterday, he was playing with his friends in his mother old stable with his little horse. Today, he was being trained to become only what God knows.
A middle aged man, imposing figure stood before him, dressed in all white. Blue was carried away with the handsomeness of the man and his long white hair, when his voice brought him back to reality. "Welcome, young man. I am Sir Alpha. You will address me as 'Alpha' at all times."
Blue nodded, with his eyes fixed at the man.
Sir Alpha handed him a small, shiny blade, shaped like half moon. "This is your new best friend. You will learn to use it, to respect it, and to never hesitate when the time comes to use it."
Blue took the blade, feeling its weight in his small hands. Took a closer look at the handle and saw a faded drawing of an eye. He's curious and would like to know the potential of his new toy.
Sir Alpha began to slowly pace around the room. "You see, Blue, I know you have a million questions to ask right now, but I'm sorry, I don't have an answer to any of them. But, I want you to know, to become a strong and successful Alphie, you must learn to think differently. You must learn to shut off your emotions, to become a rock."
Blue listened intently, trying to process Sir Alpha's words.
Sir Alpha stopped pacing and turned to face him. "I was born here, know nothing about my parents or my origin. But that's not why we are here. You will learn to obey without question, to follow orders without hesitation. You are now a ghost."
Blue felt a shiver run down his spine when he heard he's to because a ghost.
Sir Alpha word dropped to a whisper. "And you will learn to kill and destroy, without remorse, without emotion. You will become EYE OF THE SKY."
Blue's heart racing, he nodded, pretending to understand every bit of word Sir Alpha has been saying.
Sir Alpha smiled, a cold, calculating smile. "It's going to be a tough one, but I'm sorry boy, it's your calling."
