Chapter 39 - 39. Oni mask

Blood on the ground starts to form a humanoid—in just a few moments,

Orochimaru, whose head was cut, is standing there without even a single scratch.

Hiruzen was the first to react. He again rushed towards his student with lightning speed.

Orochimaru didn't have time to react he just crossed his arms in front of his face,

Hiruzen's sword collided with Orochimaru's hand, dragging deep into Orochimaru's hand.

"That mask!" Orochimaru said. As he noticed the mask that Hiruzen was wearing, a smirk appeared on his face. He jumped back, making the distance between himself and Hiruzen.

"You know sensei, we have a lot more common things than you think"

Orochimaru moved toward his previous headless body on the ground and took out a stage school from it.

"What is he doing?" Jiraiya and Minato jumped back as they saw the storage scroll.

"Wepone?" Minato wondered.

Dazo and Hiruzen, however, rushed toward Orchimaru; they couldn't let him use whatever weapon was inside that scroll.

"No, just a gift from a fellow researcher." Orochimaru said as he took out simuler mask as danzo and Hiruzen.

"What the…." Itachi was first to react. "here I was… hoping that I could cut his head again."

"What is that mask?" Tsunade asked. Looking toward the Hiruzen and Danzo, but no one answered her.

"farewell sensei, we will meet again!" Orochimaru said, pointing to Hiuzen's mask as he disappeared using a body flicker.

"what was that mask?" zetsu, who was seeing all of this, mummed.

"HUH!?"

His question was answered rather quickly, a man with blond hair, wearing the same mask, was in front of him.

"Who are you?"

Zetsu asked, but the Heroshi clone stood there without answering.

"why do I have to do this? Maybe I just ask the main body to get the original one sigh~"

Hroshi's clone took out a small crystal and threw it towards Zetsu. Before Zetsu could think anything, his surroundings changed; he was inside that crystal.

Hiroshi clone picked up the crystal from the ground and put it in a small pouch, which already had around 20 similar crystals.

Pov Hiroshi.

The air was thick with the smell of damp earth and an abnormal amount of natural energy. I stood at the entrance to the Ryūchi Cave, my heart pounding like a drum; it was not fear, but pure excitement.

Inside the cave, hundreds of snakes, big and small, slithered around, watching me with their glowing eyes. They were ready to kill me and stuff their stomach.

Suddenly, a creature appeared from the depths of the cave. It was half woman, half snake, with scales that shimmered like black glass. She hissed and lunged at me, her claws sharp as knives.

But just as she reached me, she crashed into an invisible wall I had created; I already sealed the cave, and I had put multiple barriers around the cave; today, nothing was coming out of this cave, not even sage.

I sat on the ground; it was easy to put the barrier.

Now, the hard part began. I had to keep the cave sealed. The snakes would try to escape,

It didn't take a while; dozens of those half-snake, half-woman creatures, the Lamina, poured out of the cave. They slammed into my barrier, trying to break through. It was like a swarm of angry bees, relentless and determined.

Things got worse. From the depths of the cave, emerged a few enormous snakes. They were massive, like giant pythons, and they started slamming into the entrance with incredible force. I could feel the barrier weakening under the onslaught.

Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, a blinding white light erupted from the depths of the cave. A figure emerged, tall and slender, with eyes like polished jade. This was the White Snake Sage, was finally here.

"Finally!"

I took my hand on the ground and poured my chakra into it; a seal appeared on the walls of the cave.

It was a special compound I had developed, designed to increase the potency of the venom around 10,000 times.

I was making poison of those snakes 10,000 times more powerful; they would die because of their own poison.

A cloud of blue gas filled the cave.

The snakes within the cave, both the small ones and the giant ones, started to convulse. They writhed and twisted in agony, their scales losing their luster. The Lamina, too, were affected, their movements becoming sluggish.

The White Snake Sage, seeing his creations falling, roared in fury. But the gas was too much. He staggered back, his eyes filled with disbelief. His own venom was killing him.

After struggling for a few minutes, the cave was silent.

"Nova?"

"I'm only one live chakra signature… white snake sage, he's faking his death, his alive and waiting for you to open the barrier"

"I also want to test my new powers, but I'd rather save my energy for harvesting natural energy, Let wait for a few more minutes."
