"Your majesty what should we do about the~" The voice of the older man in front of me went in one ear and instantly out the other.
'How long is this going to take!' I felt like reaching up and pulling my hair out as I yelled in my head.
I held back though since I had an irrational fear of balding due to my father before I had come to this world. Yet the urge remained as I stared out the large window that overlooked the city, I watched anxiously as the sun slowly started to move downward while a hue of orange peaked beneath the surface.
'….' The day I had been dreaming about for so long had finally arrived and my mind was a complete mess.
Time seemed to pass excruciatingly slow and the annoying work that I needed to do wasn't helping. It was times like this I wondered why I even bothered, If I wanted I could just force someone competent like the old man in front of me to do read through all these papers and make the decisions.
"Ha…." The only reason I didn't was because I felt like I might kill myself from boredom if I had nothing to do.
'So close' I narrowed my eyes at sun as if threatening it and held back the urge to throw a ball of mana.
'I'm not allowed to do that anymore….' Let's just say the last time I got worked up I accidentally destroyed a mountain.
Or technically a mountain range that spread across a few dozen miles….Anyway self control was very important when you held immense strength.
"Your majesty?" My thoughts were interrupted by a voice filled with confusion sounding out in front of me.
"Huh?" I responded awkwardly tilting head away from the window and toward the inside of the office.
Extravagant was the only word to describe the room with its black exterior that was lined with gold. It was almost sparkly from the amount of gems that were embedded across the area not to mention the chandelier above that was made out of diamonds. I wouldn't lie and say that I didn't enjoy splurging especially when I had so much money.
My eyes landed on an old man who was dressed very neatly in a black tuxedo that fit his figure well. He has wrinkles covering his skin but was still quite handsome not to mention the full set of silky gray hair that was combed back tidily, If anything the old man looked like those butlers you would see in an anime.
"Are you okay your majesty?" He looked at me with narrowed eyes as if gauging whether I was sick or not.
"I'm fine Charles" I lied with a normal smile while leaning back in my comfortable chair that was made out of dragon skin.
"You were saying something about something?" I nodded with a serious expression making Charles stare at me blankly.
"The trading city~" My loyal butler started to speak once again but I cut him off with a wave of my hand.
"Whatever it is just make Kaiden do it" Delegation was an emperor's greatest weapon he could wield.
"Kaiden sir?" Charles frowned at my words and seemed hesitant despite looking as if he wanted to speak.
If I said that Kai was my left hand then Kaiden was my right. He was someone I had known since we were children and could he considered my best friend. Although Kaiden had a very distasteful personality that bordered on arrogant he was still someone I trusted more than the masses, And he was quite entertaining.
"How about Kai your~" Charles tried to offer another suggestion but I once again cut him off with a wave of my hand.
"He's busy for the day" I spoke instantly making the older man stare at me like he was trying to make me change my mind.
"Ha….Yes your majesty" Charles eventually let out a sigh of exasperation and bowed his head before walking away.
'The rest can wait until tomorrow' I ignored the papers that piled up on my desk and stood up with a spring in my step.
'Gianna should be ready by now….' My heart raced with both fear and anticipation on what was to come.
