I needed to get everything in order for Liam. His birthday was tomorrow, and with it, he would take on the mantle of Alpha for this pack. The weight of my worry sat heavily on my shoulders. I hoped with all my heart that my son was ready for such a monumental responsibility. Being Alpha wasn't something to take lightly—it was a duty that demanded strength, wisdom, and unyielding focus.
I shuffled through the last stack of paperwork on my desk, double-checking that everything was up to date.
