Liam POV
The drive home felt strange. I hadn't left the hospital since we arrived three days ago, and time had blurred into an endless stretch of waiting and worry. When I pulled into the driveway, I sat for a moment, taking in the sight of the house. Nothing had changed since I'd left, yet it felt unfamiliar, as though I were returning to a different life.
I got out of the truck and headed inside. The house was quiet, with only the faint sounds of the staff moving about. Making my way to my room, I pushed the door open. The familiar scent of home greeted me, and I paused, taking it in. My curtains were still drawn back, and my bed remained neatly made, just as I had left it.
"I miss home," Ace murmured in my mind.
"Me too," I said softly, my voice breaking the silence.
Crossing the room, I opened my closet, grabbed fresh clothes, and headed to the bathroom. For the first time in days, I allowed myself a moment to breathe.
