I watched helplessly as the man I love slipped through my fingertips until he was gone. His final words, "I love you " played back in my mind like a broken record, tearing at my soul.
I couldn't move. I couldn't speak. I stood frozen at the spot where Liam left me, my body trembling as tears streamed down my cheeks. My gaze remained fixed on the spot where Liam had stood just moments ago.
The air felt empty now as if the world had shifted into a void.
My heart shattered, to pieces scattering like shards of glass inside me. It was as if someone had ripped my heart from my chest, leaving nothing behind but an aching hollowness.
I was numb, a fragile shell, and all I had left were the tears falling silently down my face.
I forced my eyes to move, scanning the chaos around me but people were rushing, shouting, their movements frantic, and none of them reached out to me.
