Liam POV
I got into the truck, closed the door behind me, and found Haylie sitting there with flushed red cheeks, smiling back at me. She looked so adorable that I couldn't help but smile too. "So, where to?" I asked, switching on the engine.
"Anywhere but here," she replied with a playful grin.
That sounded like a plan. I knew just the right place—the waterfall I visited earlier today. It was late, so the pack members would have left by now, making it a safe spot to take her.
I pulled out of the city, driving down the dirt road that led into the woods near Cress moon town. Haylie's eyes, wide and bright green, looked curiously out the window.
"Where are we going?" she asked, her voice laced with nervousness.
"Somewhere special," I teased, sensing her unease from the sideways glances she gave me.
As we approached the waterfall, I brought the truck to a stop and switched off the engine.
