Liam POV
I stood there, downing four glasses of water in quick succession, hoping to ease the nausea churning in my stomach. Everything felt like it was spiraling out of control, and I was barely holding on by a thread. My grip on reality felt tenuous at best.
"Liam," the voice of my wolf echoed in my mind, his tone urgent and unsettling.
I set the glass down and answered aloud, "What is it, Ace?"
For a few moments, my wolf remained silent, as if gathering his thoughts. Then his voice returned, low and troubled. "Haylie—she just attacked Melody. Then she stormed off."
My eyes widened in shock. "What do you mean she attacked Melody? How was Melody even here? And where is Haylie now?"
I scanned the campus around me, searching for any sign of Haylie, but there was nothing. She was nowhere to be found.
