Liam POV
I wasn't letting Melody get away with this. She had hurt Aunt Camelia right in front of me, and she had taken Haylie.
My wolf was raging inside me, clawing to be let loose, but I forced him back. I needed to find Haylie in my human form—I couldn't risk losing control now.
I sprinted to Haylie's room, my heart pounding. As I entered, I found Melody standing in the center of the room, her hand raised as if readying some spell.
I stopped in my tracks, watching her every move.
"I never meant for this," she said, her voice trembling.
Her words only fueled the fire inside me. My anger surged, and I could feel it rising with every beat of my heart. "Then end this," I shouted, my voice echoing in the room, "and tell me where Haylie is!"
Melody's gaze wavered, but she stood her ground. "I did this to protect her," she said, her voice cracking. "Haylie was no match for my brothers, and they're after her."
