Watching cartoons with Haylie was perfect, even though I wasn't the type of guy to sit down and watch cartoons regularly. "This cartoon is funny as hell," Ace, my wolf, commented in my head, his voice tinged with amusement.
I rolled my eyes mentally. Apparently, my wolf was using my eyes to watch the show, and it seemed like he was enjoying it just as much as Haylie. But honestly, my attention wasn't on the cartoon for long—it was on Haylie.
Her body was pressed against mine, her warmth seeping through to me as she rested on my chest, watching the screen intently. Her steady breathing was soothing, a quiet rhythm that grounded me.
And her scent—fresh, like daisies—was intoxicating. Unable to help myself, I slid my fingers gently through her hair. It was soft, silky, and every touch seemed to make her snuggle closer.
