The boy feeling rather startled and already being tired when he was grabbed fell into a state of unconsciousness. He dreamt of wild and strange things. The things he dreamt of were rather concerning and are for the most part too dark to be told in this tale. Anyway the boy woke up in a frantic state due to the awful dreams. The first thing he saw was a beautiful silver haired lady gazing upon him with a concerned look.
When the lady noticed the boy beginning to stir she immediately walked over to him. Then when the boy was fully awake she asked him "Who are you? What are you doing here? How are you here?".
This confused the boy greatly and prompted him to answer the latter two questions rather uncertainly "What do you mean? Aren't you the one who pulled me in here? I was just running down an ally away from some horrifying being chasing me".
The lady responded with "You shouldn't be able to be here. You still seem alive so why are you here".
This rather strange response caused the boy to ask "What on earth does that mean?". The boy was confused and disgruntled as his day has been rather strange.
The lady said "This is what we call the Limbo. The area that connects the world of the living and that of the dead. The people who reside here are all dead who have refused to go to the afterlife and have decided to try and find a way back to the world of the living". This response was with a rather aggressive tone that caused the boy to feel like he had just been scolded for not knowing something basic
The boy then responded with "How could that be? I am very much alive and well you hardly seem like a corpse". He responded while eyeing the lady for any imperfections that would make here different from a normal human.
The lady chuckled "Oh I wish". She then placed her hand on the boys arm and said "Would a normal human feel like this". The boy flinched as the lady grabbed his arm as it was rather chilling. The boy then says "Alright I'll believe you". Then the lady said "My name is Kylie. What is yours as you never answered when I asked you earlier?"
The boy responded with "My name is Axle. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance" he responds with while smiling and extending his hand out for a handshake which Kylie quickly takes him up on.
She then asks Axle "So I assume you want to return to the world of the living right?". Axle nods at this question to show his affirmation of the query. "Well I do too and I believe that you are the key for me and the others here to get back to the world of the living. So, why don't you and I help eachother for now as we attempt to find a way to get back."
Axle then asks Kylie "Can the dead really return to the world of the living?". He looked on her expecting a certain answer.
Kylie then responded with "Well you're alive and you can be here. This isn't truly the land of the dead like I said this is merely the bridge between the two lands so if the living can somehow get into here then it stands that the dead must be able to get out of here".
Axle then after pondering for a moment responds with "Fine. I will take your up on your offer for an alliance until we can get out of this place".
Both Kylie and Axle smile as they realize that their chances of getting out of here just seemed to increase by a large amount.
