Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Enjoy the Journey of Pollux

A tall, white man is sitting near the cradle, tears in his eyes, staring at the child in the crib as if this moment were his last, and he would never see it again. He kisses the child's fingers and then gently strokes her with love. The child seems to enjoy it, spreading a slight smile across her face. Seeing the smile, the man's eyes widen, but he holds back his tears, looks at the cradle, and says softly:

"I love you, Jack.

I love you so much, Jack.

Take care of yourself and your mother.

You are very brave.

We will meet again... Goodbye."

After that, the man gets up and walks toward the door. Suddenly, a voice calls out:

"Jack!

Son, Jack, get up! How long will you sleep? It's already morning, and you have to go to college!"

Jack wakes up in a hurry, drenched in sweat. He looks around, touching his body with his hands, nervous. For a moment, he doesn't understand what happened. But soon, he realizes that he is fine and that it was just another strange dream. He breathes a sigh of relief. Jack gets out of bed, walks to the window, pulls the curtains aside, and looks outside. This wasn't the first time something like this had happened to him. It had happened before.

By the way, Jack is a simple, 20-year-old young man who is currently pursuing his graduation. Jack has a fickle mind, constantly thinking about doing something new, with dreams he is determined to fulfill. He has the potential to make these dreams come true. He is independent and values self-respect, wanting to earn the respect of others. Despite all this, today Jack's mind is disturbed.

With a restless mind, Jack stands by the window. He closes his eyes and thinks about his dream. He doesn't understand why it feels so real, as though it had actually happened to him. There is a deep silence on his face, as though he is searching for something.

Breaking the silence, his phone rings on the table. Jack walks over to the phone, reaches out to pick it up, but his eyes fall on the watch next to the phone, which will likely be his enemy today. It's 8 o'clock in the morning.

"Oh my God, it's 8 o'clock!" Jack exclaims, shocked. He might be running late. He quickly places the clock back on the table and hurries to take a bath.

It is now 9 o'clock in the morning. Besides Jack, his mother, Mariyam, also lives in the house. She is in the kitchen, preparing breakfast for Jack. Mariyam is a homemaker, but she spends most of her time in the bakery. She has a great passion for cooking, so she opened a bakery at the back of their house, which is the most famous bakery in the city. Mariyam started the bakery as a hobby but also makes a good profit from it. She is the only daughter of her father, and thus she inherited his assets. But her true happiness lies in the bakery and her son, Jack. That's all she needs.

Mariyam finishes preparing the breakfast, places it on the table, and then calls out to Jack.

"Jack! Son, come downstairs to the table."

A sweet aroma from the breakfast fills the house. Mariyam removes her apron, sets it aside, and sits down at the dining table for breakfast.

Jack is now ready and comes downstairs. He has a bag on his shoulder, probably for college. Mariyam greets him with a "Good morning," but Jack seems a little upset today, so he doesn't respond. He takes off his bag, places it near the table, and then goes over to his mother to eat, sitting down in a chair. Mariyam notices Jack's silence and asks, "Son, is something wrong?"

Jack breaks his silence and says, "No, mom, there's nothing wrong. Can you please serve me breakfast? I'm really hungry."

Mariyam decides to let it go for the moment and serves the breakfast. However, Jack is still lost in thought, waiting for Mariyam to speak. Seeing this, Mariyam asks again, "Jack, start your breakfast; it's getting cold."

"Yes, mom," Jack answers in a slow voice.

"Do you have a problem?" Mariyam asks.

"No, there's nothing wrong. I'm just a bit worried about some work today," Jack replies.

Mariyam looks at him carefully and says, "Son, it's not work you're worried about. It's something else."

Jack doesn't answer.

"Did you have that dream again?" Mariyam asks.

"Yes, mom, I had the same dream again," Jack replies, his voice serious.

Mariyam explains, "Son, it was just a dream. The more you think about it, the more it will come back. Calm your mind and focus on today, okay?"

Hearing this, Jack says, "Mom, do you remember the last thing about dad? I don't know why, but I feel like this dream is somehow connected to him."

Mariyam responds, "Son, there's no time to talk about this now. Just know that your father was a good and respected man. We'll discuss everything else later."

Jack says, "Mom, whenever I ask you about my father, you never tell me anything."

Mariyam firmly replies, "Enough! We'll talk about this in the evening. I have work to do in the bakery, and you're running late too."

Mariyam calms Jack down for the time being, but his questions and distracted thoughts remain.

Now, Mariyam and Jack begin their breakfast. Jack finishes his meal and gets ready to leave. Before heading out, he tells his mother, "I'll find out what my father's connection to my dream is. If not today, then tomorrow."

Mariyam feels that Jack might be preoccupied with this thought all day, making it hard for him to concentrate on his studies. She advises him, "Son, focus on today. Yesterday and tomorrow are secrets of nature. Don't dwell on them; if you do, you won't be able to enjoy life."

Jack feels a little better, picks up his bag, and walks toward the door. To the right of the hall door, there is a hanger where Jack grabs the key to his bike. Jack owns two bikes: an Imperial Jet, which belonged to his father, and a Free Rider, his own bike, a gift from his mother on his birthday two years ago. Jack rides his father's bike on special occasions. His father's bike is a black cruiser, a beautiful machine with a strong engine, big tires, two silencers on either side, a long seat, a round headlight, and wide handlebars. Anyone who sees it is instantly drawn to it.

On the other hand, Jack's Free Rider is a black sports bike, lightweight with a plastic body, an 800 cc engine, big tires, and a small handlebar — a typical modern racing bike. Jack uses this bike to go to college, and he takes it today as well.

He starts his bike, rides off, and heads to college. As he rides through the streets, he feels a surge of enthusiasm. The city is bustling today, and the weather is pleasant. Jack feels good seeing the activity around him. Then he notices the snow scattered along the roads, probably from the previous night's snowfall. The sight of snow on a green field reminds him of a child sleeping in her mother's lap under a white sheet.

Jack enjoys the view as he heads to his college. The city, Pollux, is known for its beauty. It is a sparsely populated city, surrounded by lush green forests, with a river flowing through it. The river divides the city into two parts, and there are two bridges connecting them. The most used bridge is in the middle of the city, while the other, the oldest bridge, is at the city's edge. People often gather on this old bridge to watch the sunset and go fishing. The sunsets here are the most beautiful in the world, and Jack often rides his bike past the old bridge.

Today, as Jack rides by the river, he sees the usual person sitting by the bank. The man is always there in the morning, filling a bundle of soil near the river and sitting in the same spot. He has a long beard, a flashy cap, and an old, tattered coat. Jack has seen him before and always notices him before heading to college. Jack's college is a few miles away from the river.

After passing the river, Jack reaches college.
