Chapter 1 - The Clash of Titans

"Jakir, where have you concealed yourself?" Bas muttered as he treaded cautiously through the barren wasteland, his Kika—a massive, eagle-like creature with glowing red eyes—following closely behind. They were in the land of Jontis, a desolate expanse surrounded by three towering mountains. Bas could see for miles around, but the eerie silence gnawed at him.

He felt uneasy, knowing full well that he was being watched. An unseen presence waited, poised to strike. Jontis, like its ruler, reflected the chaos of war. Jakir, the war god, had turned his domain into a wasteland—a shrine to endless battles.

"This ends today," Bas growled under his breath. As the god of destruction, he reveled in obliteration, and Jakir would be no exception.

A sharp snort from his Kika broke the stillness. The bird flared its feathers, its aggression palpable. The ground cracked beneath its talons, sending tremors across the wasteland. Bas felt it then—the oppressive intent of another god.

"Jakir!" Bas roared, his voice reverberating across the barren land.

With a deafening crash, the mountains surrounding Jontis collapsed, filling the air with dust and debris. The sound was thunderous, and massive boulders hurtled through the sky, shattering mid-air before tumbling to the ground.

Emerging from the cloud of dust was Jakir, his Kika—a colossal rhinoceros—snorting fire and smoke. Jakir raised a hand, and with a casual swipe, the dust cleared, revealing his form. He stood tall, a menacing grin playing on his lips, as his eyes locked onto Bas.

"I liked those mountains, you know," Jakir began, his tone almost wistful as he glanced at the ruins. "They reminded me of Mount Kamon, where the wood elves once served me the sweetest dian soup I've ever tasted. But now," he sighed theatrically, "that memory is gone forever."

"A relief," Bas sneered. "Now I can send you to join those mountains in the land of no return—without any regrets. Stay still, Jakir, and I might make your end painless."

Jakir chuckled. "Naive as always, Bas. Don't you see? I act for the greater good. The gods may stay silent, but they know I'm right. Worship is pointless when mortals could serve us better through action."

"By destroying my world with your vermin?" Bas spat, his body glowing faintly with a yellow hue. "I'll make you regret every second of your existence."

Jakir's laughter echoed through the wasteland. "Fitting, really. Today, you die—for soup."

Jakir stretched his hands outward, and the air pressure intensified. Particles swirled around him, forming an imposing suit of metal armor. In one hand, he conjured a massive hammer, wreathed in green flames.

But Bas was already moving. He charged at the speed of light, his Kika soaring ahead. Their clash shook the ground, sending shockwaves rippling through the air.

The Kikas engaged in a brutal battle of their own. Bas's eagle gripped Jakir's rhino with talons that glowed with destructive energy, lifting it high into the sky. The rhino bellowed, spewing fire and smoke in its rage.

On the ground, Bas swung his radiant sword—a weapon forged from pure light—sending arcs of energy slicing toward Jakir. The ground erupted, splitting apart and creating a massive abyss.

Jakir leaped nimbly to avoid the assault. With a roar, he hurled his flaming hammer at Bas. The weapon disintegrated mid-flight, reforming into a swarm of fiery, metal spikes that surrounded Bas from all directions.

Laughing, Bas swept his sword in a wide arc, dispersing the spikes into smoke. But they reformed instantly, their numbers multiplying. Jakir grinned as he manipulated the swarm with precise movements of his hands, keeping Bas pinned down.

"You're a coward!" Bas shouted, frustration mounting.

Jakir's amusement deepened as he took a step closer. In that moment, Bas seized his chance. A blinding arc of light erupted from his sword, slicing through the ground and swallowing Jakir in a storm of dust and debris.

For a moment, silence reigned. Bas stood amidst the wreckage, believing he had slain the war god. But then the air thickened once more. Thousands of fiery spikes materialized, converging on him at impossible speeds.

Bas swung his sword frantically, shattering some of the spikes, but more kept forming. They pierced his armor, drawing blood. The heat seared his flesh, and his movements slowed as pain wracked his body.

Suddenly, a crushing force struck him from behind. Jakir stood before him, a wicked grin on his face as he drove a massive, molten blade through Bas's chest.

"Sweet, naive Bas," Jakir murmured, kneeling to mockingly caress his fallen foe's head. "How I'll miss your mischief. But before you die, let me share a secret."

Bas's vision blurred, his strength fading fast.

"I kissed your wife, Francia, just yesterday," Jakir whispered, his voice dripping with malice. "And she kissed me back."

"You…" Bas's voice faltered, and his eyes closed as his life ebbed away.

Jakir shoved Bas's body into the abyss, a smirk of satisfaction on his face. The explosion from Bas's death sent shockwaves rippling through the universe, heralding the fall of a major god.

Far in the distance, Jakir's Kika roared in triumph, standing over the lifeless body of Bas's eagle. The war god had emerged victorious, his dominion over Jontis unchallenged.
