A tiring day, he who had worked hard to always make his wife happy had to accept the fact that his wife had cheated on him with a male boss whose full name is Andalas Antonio. He did not expect that after five years of marriage and counting almost twelve years together from dating until they finally got married, his wife betrayed him.
His wife was fed up with their poor life, love was no longer a beautiful thing for Rose, Andalas' wife. It was wealth that Rose needed. Living in hardship since she was a child, even at first she felt that everything would be fine after marrying Andalas, but it turned out that everything was not what Rose wanted. That's what Rose told Andalas.
Andalas had tried to give that happiness, but what else could he do? He is only an orphan without knowing who his parents are because he has been thrown in an orphanage since childhood. Rose was just like him, who was an orphan without knowing who her parents were. He walked along the bridge just to get rid of his fatigue with his life. It felt like he wanted to end his life this very second.
Andalas stopped, he then looked at the river under the bridge. Maybe if he jumped from here, his body would not feel pain. Andalas continued to think about jumping, but suddenly the sound of someone screaming made him wake up from his reverie. He turned to a woman who was not far from him. The woman was standing on the bridge railing.
Andalas glared, he immediately approached the woman. "Miss, what are you doing? Come down, miss, jumping from here is not the only way to solve the problem," said Andalas, who looked panicked.
The woman now turned to Andalas, "Aren't you also going to throw yourself off this bridge?" asked the woman who looked at Andalas expressionlessly.
"Come on, get down, miss. Don't be like this, all problems can be solved. But not by ending your life," said Andalas as he held out his hand.
The woman silently looked at Andalas, she then held out her hand. "Come up here and try to see what you can't see from your current position," said the woman who was now smiling.
"There is nothing to see, so let's just come down, miss," said Andalas, who was still holding out his hand.
The woman held Andalas' hand, and then she pulled Andalas' hand so that Andalas climbed onto the bridge barrier. Andalas was quite surprised. How could a woman who looked beautiful, soft, and also seemed to be a rich person be able to lift his body onto the bridge restriction so lightly with just one hand?
"Look," said the woman as she looked down.
Andalas followed her gaze. He paused to see what was below him. He saw shady trees and also luxurious buildings. It was strange, he was hallucinating or something, until he saw something like that.
"Do you like it?" the woman asked, looking at Andalas.
Andalas frowned, he did not understand what the woman beside him meant. "That thing you saw down there, did you like it?" She asked again with a smile.
Andalas shook his head. He looked back at the river below, which still showed a luxurious-looking city and shady trees.
"Go there, then you will get what you want," said the woman, then pushed Andalas' body into the river.
Andalas was surprised he tried to reach for anything, but there was nothing he could reach at all. Her body sank into the river, he felt no pain at all when his body fell into the water. The woman who pushed Andalas' body just smiled to see Andalas down there.
Andalas flew up and immediately sat down, he inhaled his breath a lot, like someone who was out of breath. Andalas frowned when he was able to breathe normally. What happened? Why was he in this place? He was on the edge of the river, but as he remembered, he fell into the river when he wanted to help a woman who was about to commit suicide by jumping into the river.
"How is it?" asked someone sitting right next to Andalas.
Andalas quickly turned to the person who had just spoken. Her forehead frowned when he saw the same woman he had seen on the bridge. "Still suicidal?" she asked with a smile.
"I'm not suicidal," Andalas said with an angry glare at the woman who pushed his into the river.
The woman laughed, a quiet laugh that gradually turned into a fairly loud laugh. She laughed like she was teasing Adalas. "What are you laughing at?" asked Andalas, whose face still looked annoyed, and he wondered what the woman beside his was laughing at.
"You said you didn't want to kill yourself because you were scared, right? After jumping, you feel you still want to live, don't you?" asked the woman as she smiled at Andalas and she had stopped laughing.
Andalas was silent, he was silent not because of the woman's question in front of him but because it turned out that what he experienced was a reality, not a mere dream. His body was still intact, and his clothes were not wet at all, which made him think that he was just dreaming, but it was wrong. He had no dream at all about falling into the river.
"Why are you silent? Do you still want to end your life?" the woman asked, still smiling.
"No, I already said that I don't want to kill myself!" said Andalas, then he stood up from his seat.
The woman also stood up, "Good then. That means you are ready to complete the mission," said the woman, making Andalas who had wanted to leave now turn to the woman.
"What do you mean?" asked Andalas as he frowned.
"Aren't you tired of your life like this? You grew up in an orphanage, you didn't even graduate from school, and your only job is a barman. You left your wife because she chose a rich man. So, are you ready to go on a mission to get what you never had?" asked the woman.
"I still don't understand," said Andalas with a frown on his forehead.
The woman smiled. "Look at that building over there," she said as she pointed straight ahead.
Adalas also looked in the direction the woman was pointing. He saw a tall building whose end was not visible at all to Andalas. "If you can get to that building, then you will get everything you want. Become rich, have more than one woman. Even the artists you want to be your partner, you can get that," the woman said with a smile.
Adalas looked at the woman, the look in his eyes that was still confused by the woman's words beside his now turned into a lazy look. "Crazy," Andalas said and walked away.
