Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1: The girl

"The King of luck; Ruler of the stars; Sovereign of the lost. I pray for y... Your loving grace and guidance. May you accept this offering of mine, and bless me with good luck."

A young teenage girl read aloud, her eyes moving from each sentence on the piece of paper stored inside a red picture frame.

Vidalia Everhart was her name. She had long, silky straight black hair that reached her waist. Dark black eyes reminiscent of a deep hole with no light, light rosy red cheeks, wearing a simple dress shirt underneath a red polka-dot dress.

In her hands was a small plate with a slicpief lemon meringue pie on top.

After reciting the words on the paper, Vidalia placed the small plate on top of an old pentagram drawing in white chalk surrounded by 5 candles by each point.

Then, she reached into the small satchel bag hanging from her shoulder, opened it, and took out a small piece of paper and a thin stick.

The paper was weird, coloured black and had a rough texture.

Vidalia scratched the surface of the paper with the stick 4 times before it finally lit up. When fire lit up on the end of the stick, she lit up the old candles.

When all of it was lit up, she waited patiently for 5 minutes.

And 5 minutes turned into 20 minutes before she sighed. "It's not working! Haa... I'll come back tomorrow." Vidalia spoke to herself with a pout on her face, turning around and walked into the forest.

As she left, a beautiful being appeared out of thin air as if 'He' was drawn by a pencil. However, he wasn't colored black and white.

'He' walked over to the offering, a small unoticable smile on 'His' face. "An... An offering? Is this what woke me from my slumber?" 'He' hummed, 'His' slender and thin finger lining the crust of the pie.

After a momment of contemplation, 'He' held the pie gently in his hand and bit into the pie.

A harmonious blend of sweet, tart, and creamy flavors, with a delightful crunch from the crust and a lightness from the meringue entered 'His' mouth.

"Hm.. This is rather delightful. I'll give her a blessing later." 'He' nodded to himself, licking 'His' lips and vanished into thin air as though 'He' were erased by an eraser.

As 'He' Dissapeared, the lit candles' flames were extinguished.
