"Tell me, Liu Cheng," Zhang Wei began, his voice as cold as the Swiss air outside. "What exactly are you trying to accomplish with all your investigations? Because from where I stand, all you're doing is disrupting our focus."
Liu Cheng lifted his gaze from his laptop, struggling to remain calm. "I'm trying to protect our team. There are things happening behind the scenes that could cost us the tournament if we don't figure them out."
"And all of this without consulting me," Zhang Wei shot back, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "As if you're the one leading this team."
"This isn't about authority, Zhang Wei," Liu Cheng retorted, standing up. "This is about safety. If you can't see that, then you're the one holding us back."
Yao Feng, the team's striker, interjected softly. "Can't we resolve this without fighting? We have a match in two days. We need to be a team, not... whatever this is."
"A team?" Zhang Wei laughed bitterly. "How can we be a team when some of us are working behind everyone's back?"
Lin Mei stepped in, standing beside Liu Cheng. "He hasn't done anything behind your back. We're trying to uncover the truth about sabotage that could eliminate us. If you can't see that, then you're blind."
Zhang Wei looked at Lin Mei in disbelief before turning and storming out of the room without another word. The silence left behind was deafening.

"But we're risking our focus," Yao Feng interjected. "If we get too caught up in this, we lose sight of what matters most—our matches."
Liu Cheng couldn't stay silent any longer. "Our matches are already at risk! If we don't figure this out, there might not be a next round for us."
Zhang Wei raised a hand, cutting him off. "Enough. This is a team decision. If the majority thinks we should stop, then we'll stop."
The team voted. Lin Mei, Chen Rui, and Liu Cheng voted to continue the investigation, while Zhang Wei, Yao Feng, and two others voted against it. The result was a tie.
"As captain, I make the final decision," Zhang Wei declared. "And I say we focus on the tournament."
Liu Cheng's fists clenched. "Fine. But when this happens again—when we lose because of something beyond our control—remember this."
