Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

On a beach full of people and children playing while the sun shone in the sky, two figures could be seen on the other side of the beach.

A brown-haired, green-eyed girl was lying on a lounge chair in a bikini, while beside her stood a black-haired, black-eyed woman dressed in professional attire.

"Sophia, I told you that you don't have to be serious all the time. You need to relax a little," the girl said with a smile, stretching after lying down for so long.

"I'm sorry, Miss," Sophia replied in a monotonous voice.

The girl sighed at her attitude.

"Maah, do as you wish..."

She looked up at the sky with a faint trace of concern in her eyes.

"I wonder how my brother did in Afghanistan... I hope everything is okay," she murmured softly.

Suddenly, the phone on the table beside the lounge chair rang.

Sophia, with a professional, well-practiced motion, handed it to the girl. When she saw who was calling, she smiled.

"Sister Pepper, I didn't expect you to call me. Do you already miss me?"

There was a happy smile on her face, but it didn't last long when she heard the panic on the other end.

"Morgana… your brother is missing."

Morgana immediately became serious.

"What do you mean, sister? This isn't a joke, Pepper."

"I'm not joking, Morgana. The military just reported… The entire convoy guarding Tony was destroyed, and he hasn't been found."

Pepper's voice trembled, and quiet sobs could be heard through the receiver.

Morgana's expression darkened.

"I'm coming back immediately. Also, tell the military to do everything in their power to find him."

"I already told James."

"Good."

After that, Morgana ended the call and turned to Sophia.

"Prepare the plane. We're going home."

"Yes, Miss."

Without delay, they headed to the hotel and soon after to the airport.

---

On the plane, Morgana stared thoughtfully out the window, with only one thing on her mind.

I hope you're okay, brother...

But something was bothering her.

"However… something about this doesn't feel right," she murmured softly, a cold glint flashing through her eyes.

While she was deep in thought, a sudden sharp headache struck her. Morgana clenched her teeth tightly, grabbing her head with one hand.

Sophia heard the commotion and approached Morgana with slight panic.

"Are you all right, Miss?"

"Uff… It's fine, Sophia, my head just started hurting."

Sophia relaxed when she saw Morgana was okay and quietly returned to her seat. However, she didn't notice the deeply contemplative look in Morgana's eyes…

Morgana's POV

I never expected to reincarnate… let alone into the Marvel universe as Tony's sister.

Leaning back, a playful smile slowly formed on my lips.

"Interesting…"

Although I don't remember everything from my past life, I can tell that this is the Marvel Cinematic Universe… or maybe it isn't. From what I've gathered from my memories, mutants exist here, along with many other unknown things…

While I was deep in thought, I heard footsteps. I turned around and saw Sophia approaching me.

"Miss, we will be landing in an hour."

I nodded lightly and then looked out the window. However, before she left, I caught a glimpse of doubt in her eyes—just for a moment, before she returned to normal.

It's not easy for her… and I can't blame her.

As I listened to her footsteps slowly fading away, my thoughts drifted back.

This is truly suspicious… According to my memories, her name is Sophia Vasile. She is 21 years old and works for me as a maid. I met her two years ago… in Romania.

Memories began to resurface…

Two Years Ago

Romania

In a remote part of the city, through the quiet night, the roar of a speeding car echoed as it tore through the winding roads.

Inside the car, Morgana carelessly pressed the gas, paying no mind to her surroundings while loud music blared in the cabin.

As the vehicle sped through another curve, she caught a glimpse of a silhouette stepping out of the forest and standing right in the middle of the road.

She slammed the brakes and swerved to the side. Due to the high speed, the car skidded and spun.

With great effort, she managed to stabilize the vehicle. Her heart pounded wildly in her chest, and her hands trembled as she rested her forehead against the steering wheel, breathing heavily.

Once she calmed down a bit, she restarted the car and drove to the spot where the unknown person had appeared.

When she arrived, the sight before her shocked her. The person was lying on the asphalt, a dark pool of blood spreading around them.

Morgana frantically jumped out of the car and ran toward the motionless body.

As she knelt down, she saw the pale yet beautiful face of a young woman. Her eyes were closed, and her breathing was shallow and uneven.

"Hey, hey! Are you okay?!"

There was no response.

As Morgana examined her body, she noticed numerous wounds and cuts.

"Please… help me…"

The unknown girl whispered weakly, her voice dry and broken, before her eyelids fluttered and shut completely.

Seeing her lose consciousness, Morgana wasted no time. She lifted her into her arms and carefully placed her in the back seat of her car.

Without hesitation, she sped toward the hospital.

However, as she drove, her gaze kept drifting toward the unconscious girl.

Something didn't sit right with her.

A few minutes later, instead of turning toward the hospital, Morgana suddenly changed direction.

After a short drive, she arrived in front of a private villa. She pulled the car into the garage, then carefully took the girl out and carried her inside.

The Next Day

In a large, spacious room, the girl with black hair was lying on the bed, wrapped in bandages around various parts of her body.

POV of the Unknown Girl

Slowly, I opened my eyes. All I could see was a large white ceiling. Exhausted, I turned to the side and spotted the vast room, decorated with an elegance I wasn't expecting.

As I looked around, instinctively I became serious and suddenly sat up—only to be immediately stopped by pain.

I groaned quietly as I clenched my teeth, waiting for the pain to subside.

At that moment, I heard the door opening.

Reflexively, I reached under the pillow to grab my gun… only to realize it wasn't there.

Where the hell am I?

Slowly, I pulled my hand back and lifted my gaze to the door.

Standing in the doorway was a girl around 16 or 17 years old, with brown hair tied in a ponytail and green eyes. She held a tray with food in her hands.

POV 3

"Oya oya, the sleeping beauty has awoken."

Morgana smiled with an innocent and playful grin as she watched the girl in front of her. Sophia observed her with a serious expression and tense posture, ready to react at any moment.

"Ma, ma, relax. I'm not much of a cook, but I hope this helps."

Morgana extended the tray with soup towards Sophia. For a few moments, the girl simply stared at her, sizing her up, before finally accepting the food.

Morgana quietly smiled.

"I have to say, you're truly fascinating. Three broken ribs, a small fracture in your right arm, a bullet under your collarbone, another in your right lung... poisoned... and I won't even mention the rest."

As Morgana spoke, Sophia's body tensed more and more.

"Honestly, I thought you wouldn't survive. Even though you were treated by the best doctor in the world..." Morgana said proudly, smiling, "... who would have thought that not only would you survive, but you'd almost heal?"

Sophia remained silent, tightly gripping the spoon as Morgana continued to watch her, as if everything she said was completely normal.

"Hahaha, sweet. Though, if I really wanted to harm you, you wouldn't have woken up in this room."

Morgana laughed again, then lightly exited the room. Sophia was left alone, still with a serious expression, but there was a faint—almost imperceptible—flush on her cheeks.

After some time…

Morgana returned and sat across from her, this time with a serious expression on her face. She stared at Sophia, who was still lying on the bed, calm but cautious.

"Now... could you tell me who you are and how you ended up in that condition?"

Sophia briefly glanced at Morgana before answering in a cold, emotionless voice:

"Sophia Vasile."

Morgana patiently waited for her to continue.

"Hmm... that's it? I was expecting a little more."

Sophia simply stared at her coldly. Morgana sighed, somewhat disappointed by her attitude.

"Well, I guess I'll go first."

"Hello, my name is Morgana Sta—"

"Morgana Stark. 17 years old. The youngest doctor with a perfect record in every surgery. The youngest recipient of multiple doctorates. The first doctorate obtained at the age of 14—genetics, biomedicine, robotics, biomechanics... and several more. Black belt in karate, aikido, jiu-jitsu, MMA..."

As Sophia spoke, her gaze gradually changed—now she looked at Morgana as if she were some kind of monster.

Morgana placed her hand on her cheek and made a mock shy expression.

"Moo, if you're going to praise me like that, I might just blush."

Back to the Present

POV Morgana

Although we met in quite an unusual way, in the end, Sophia became my friend... even though she works as my maid.

I gazed out the airplane window, that strange feeling of unease still lingering.

Why do I feel like I'm already familiar with this scenario?

"Maa, whatever." – I muttered quietly to myself.

Now, as far as I'm concerned... In my past life, I was an ordinary person with the ambition to become a doctor. Although I was pretty average in everything, I somehow managed to achieve that dream. But it didn't last long… because I died in an accident along with my friend while we were traveling.

Now... the world knows me as a genius greater than Tony – my brother. I have a ton of doctorates, I'm a master in martial arts... I have to admit, before I regained my memories, my life was pretty boring.

However, while the world sees me as the innocent genius girl, no one would even think that behind that image is a ruthless person who wouldn't blink an eye if she had to kill someone.

So far, I've survived nearly a hundred assassination attempts, numerous "accidental" incidents, and much more.

"Haa... how tiresome. Some people really are jealous of talented people." – I sighed wearily as I continued to analyze my memories.

Hmm... even though I don't have any superpowers, my photographic memory is nearly perfect. I can remember every book I've ever read – every word, every letter... and I also have a pretty high level of understanding.

"Hmm, maybe it's some kind of 'cheat' – almost perfect memory and incredible comprehension?" – I whispered to myself as I sank deeper into my thoughts.

"Meh... I'll think about it later. Right now, the most important thing is what happened to Tony."

Although I've never watched the Marvel movies or read the comics, the memories from my past life tell me that Tony will come back alive – according to what my friends used to say.

But... how did they know where Tony was testing the weapon? Afghanistan is not small. It's not easy to find someone, unless the information leaked.

I glanced at my watch, then leaned back in my seat and closed my eyes.

"Ten more minutes until landing."

Author POV

Don't expect too much from this fanfic, I'm writing it purely for fun. As for those who say it's AI and so on, yes, I use ChatGPT to fix some parts of the story to make it easier to read, because I'm still a beginner. I also use it for translation since my English is zero. I hope you can give me some tips, maybe I'll start taking writing seriously haha 😉. Anyway, enjoy the story.
