Chapter 74 - Chapter 74 The Challenge of Takeshi Tsuda

The training field buzzed with tension as Takeshi Tsuda stood at its center, radiating confidence. His Quirk, *Permeation*, was infamous for its difficulty to master, but Takeshi wielded it with the expertise of years of relentless training.

When he was a boy, Takeshi had nearly drowned, only to be saved by a professional hero. That life-changing event inspired him to become a hero himself. However, mastering *Permeation* came with extreme challenges. A single error in its use could tear his body apart. This was why Takeshi's father had abandoned a similar dream, deeming the Quirk too dangerous.

Despite his initial struggles and being considered a weak student in his childhood, Takeshi persevered. His unwavering optimism and tireless efforts saw him rise to the top of U.A., earning him a place among the *Big Three*.

But Bakugo wasn't impressed.

"Who is this guy looking down on?" Bakugo growled, sparks crackling in his palms as veins bulged on his forehead. Without waiting for further instruction, he leaped into action, charging straight at Takeshi.

As Bakugo closed in, Takeshi's hero uniform suddenly slipped to the ground, leaving him visibly embarrassed.

"Uh…" Bakugo halted mid-air, momentarily startled.

Takeshi quickly adjusted his uniform, pulling it back into place. "Apologies! My Quirk can be tricky to control. But don't let that stop you—attack whenever you're ready."

"Tch! Don't need your permission!" Bakugo barked, releasing an explosive blast aimed directly at Takeshi.

The attack went right through his opponent's body, leaving Bakugo stunned.

"What the hell?!" he snarled, his eyes narrowing.

"It's similar to Akira's ability," Shoto remarked calmly from the sidelines.

"Permeation, huh? Annoying!" Bakugo spat, retreating before launching a more powerful explosion.

The blast engulfed Takeshi in thick black smoke. As it slowly cleared, Bakugo smirked, thinking he had landed a decisive blow.

But then Takeshi emerged from the smoke, unscathed. Moving with lightning speed, he closed the gap and delivered a precise punch to Bakugo's stomach.

"Ugh!" Bakugo coughed, spitting out saliva as he crumpled to the ground, clutching his abdomen.

"Kacchan got taken out in one hit?!" Midoriya exclaimed, his voice tinged with disbelief.

"As expected of one of the *Big Three*," Tokoyami muttered, his eyes narrowing.

Takeshi chuckled softly. "My apologies. I might've been too rough." His gaze shifted to Midoriya, Shoto, and Tokoyami. "What's next? Will you come at me one by one, all together, or should we wait for Akira to finish his meal?"

Midoriya, Shoto, and Tokoyami exchanged glances.

"We'll go together!" Midoriya declared, determination flaring in his eyes.

"Very well," Takeshi said, a faint smile gracing his face.

Midoriya activated *One For All*, green lightning crackling around him as he darted toward Takeshi. Shoto followed, unleashing a wave of ice that quickly spread across the ground, while Tokoyami sent *Dark Shadow* surging toward their opponent.

But Takeshi remained calm. Midoriya's punch phased through him effortlessly, and Shoto's ice froze nothing but empty air. Even *Dark Shadow* found no purchase, as Takeshi slipped through its attacks like water through a sieve.

In an instant, Takeshi countered. He moved with precision, striking Shoto and Tokoyami down with calculated blows. Both collapsed to the ground, groaning in pain.

"Teleportation? No… it's something else," Tokoyami muttered, clutching his side.

Now alone, Midoriya tensed, his mind racing.

"If this were Akira, what would he do?"

Midoriya's instincts screamed at him, urging him to focus. "He'll come from behind!"

Taking a deep breath, Midoriya spun around just as Takeshi emerged from the ground behind him.

"Here you are!" Midoriya activated *One For All*, his arms glowing with green electricity. He launched a powerful punch, aiming directly at Takeshi's midsection.

For a moment, it seemed like the attack might land. But once again, Takeshi's body became intangible, and Midoriya's fist passed harmlessly through him.

Midoriya's expression twisted in frustration.

Before he could react, Takeshi delivered a clean punch to Midoriya's stomach, sending him crumpling to the ground alongside his teammates.

"Your turn, Akira," Takeshi said, turning his attention to the lone figure seated nearby.

Akira, still finishing the last bite of his meal, set his chopsticks down and wiped his mouth. He stood, his calm demeanor contrasting the tense atmosphere.

"Let's see what you've got," Akira said, stepping forward. His eyes glimmered with resolve.
